Tim Plains
Like 'em or hate 'em, that's beside the point. Have a look at these guitars. The inlay work is absolutely insane...and speaking of insane - holy crap, $30,000 for a new PRS! And here I thought my Gibsons were overpriced. WOW!! http://www.willcuttguitars.com/_product_31292/PRS_Private_Stock_1134_San_Fransisco_McCarty http://www.willcuttguitars.com/_product_31292/PRS_Private_Stock_1135_Washington_DC_Inlay Two guitars that if I owned either one, I'd be too afraid to play them. dem00n
You can get better inlay work for under 10grand...bullshit. lol
Murph
Wow. I played a McCarty once. It was nice, didn't speak to me, but a lot of players love PRS. I remember seeing some crazy Gibson inlay stuff in the past, but I don't remember where.
djroge1
A friend of mine does the wiring for the private stock guitars. He also does the wiring for some famous player guitar set ups at the PRS factory.
ShredAstaire
Sweet Jeebus....that's a pricey guitar.... It's good inlay work but its not worth THAT much....
Thundergod
Chinese counterfeiters do some crazy fire/flame inlay work on their supromes And you get it for 249,99 including case and shipping. It's a no brainer!:D
Thundergod
Ok I know I will get flames (back in the PRS forum:-") for saying this... But I sincerely think Raptor's blue les paul can give those 2 babies a hard time even in her worst day.
SHO
I'm sure it takes skill to do them, but... am I the only one who finds those inlays absolutely hideous?

Murph
There is a fine line between a work of art, and a tool. "Where" that line is, is up to the individual....... To me, a guitar is an "instrument", making it a tool. I earn money with it. I rarely see the front of it. But I enjoy seeing nice ones like Tims, Neo's, Daves, Junkies, ect. I just don't have the pockets for em'........
NeoConMan
Drool on yer keyboard a little... www.prsguitars.com/privatestock/index.html Prices start around $10,000 and go up in a hurry. The one thing I love is the colors. They have one they call Copperhead that is just amazing. Sort of a brownish Amber.

ledzep59
That's basically like a mosaic. Just a little elaborate! Not my kind of guitar. I just had a PRS and like Murph said it didn't really "speak to me". Those private stocks are sick, but I would rather invest that much money in a real vintage guitar. The colors are ridiculous, though. I like that aquamarine...spectacular!
retrosurfer1959
They do some amazing stuff, they did a custom dragon guitar for several different years the 2002 was my favorite. Totally over the top but in a cool single cut model with amazing inlay of dozen of different stones and woods. they also made a double neck that was totally amazing but cost more than the average car. starfoxhound
Really nice, but I prefer my dot inlays on my Epi's LOL, j/k. Really good job, a little bit overpriced (ok ok, a lot overpriced) but nice job. Still I prefer trapezoid inlays.
surfpup
Call me crazy, but as far as PRS, I'd rather have one of the David Gissom's for a tenth of the price ... http://www.willcuttguitars.com/_product_31255/PRS_David_Grissom_Trem_Goldtop_Birds

NeoConMan
I'm not big on the inlays. I spent the money for the wood. Insane Maple, Brazilian board, top-notch Mahogany body. All the Mother Of Pimp inlay work is impressive, but I ain't paying for it.
