NNNNaattt... wrong. Another product of many years of brainwashing.

The majority who suffer greatest hardship under capitalist rule are the ones most vocal in favor of it...

...it's a strange world indeed.

Hit every BLUE NOTE baaaby..., I'm going to play on:-"

Commi!!:-

I hate to admit it, but my "retirement nest egg" has depreciated by 75% in the past 12 months. Right now, everything I put into it for the past 28 years equals what I make in 18 months. In other words, if I retired today, I'd run out of money in 18 months. Socialism is sounding pretty good.

My retirement is, er, WAS in AIG. They are the schmucks who took a $500,000 golfing junket after caving in. No problem, they said. It wasn't with taxpayer money. It was with my retirement money.

As they say, a Republican is a Democrat who has been mugged. But I'm not a Republican. I hate both left and right.

Sorry to go off topic, but has this guitar been discontinued or will it be back in stock on March 27th? It does not appear on Musician's Friend anymore, but I was able to find it here. As you can see, it says "We're sorry, this product has been discontinued."

Gosh darn...I hate to say this knowing how intoxicated some here are with this model...but that guitar? NEVER gonna have a collectibile premium...if we're real honest about things we recognized this is a very Norlin-esque attempt at making use of surplus parts...I think what you have is some odd-ball Dots they stuck excess ES-5 electronics on...seriously...collector value? unt uh. It's a Chinese Epiphone...get real..

With all the guitars that Epiphone has disco'd in the last few months, why all the hubub about this model? It looked alright to me, and the guys in here that own one seem happy with it, but there seems to be an inordinate amount of teeth gnashing over it.

After all, they said it was a limited run right from the start!

They may never be collectable in the "59 Les Paul/57 Strat" realm, but i bet they end up collectable to

Epi hollowbody fans........

People will pay hundreds for old Barbies and even Pez dispensers

So, if it remains discontinued, $1000 for a p-93 Riviera isn't all that unforseeable down the road.

I lowball every decent guitar I see on Craigslist, then resell the ones I get for a definite profit. If they don't sell right away they will eventually. I have the patience to make it work and trust me, it's always worth the time it takes.

Dillweed is very good in a light mustard sauce with salmon! I agree with the X on resale.......in general if I want to turn a quick buck or fund another guitar.....I look for used Gibby's first. It's not very hard to turn a $250-$350 profit on a $600-$800 investment if you know how to buy and sell! :)

They discontinued the 3-pickup Zephyr a while back. I only knew about 2 people who had ever owned one. The 3-pickup Riviera appealed to a pretty small group of enthusiasts. Like Nelson says, it is a Chinese Epiphone and will have the collector's value of just about $399. Sales had to have been disappointing if Epiphone decided to cut it loose. How many 3-pickup hollow bodies or semi-hollow bodies are there out there? Not a big seller.

I have to agree with Nelson here.

I own a P-93 & bought it because it was an 'oddball' but I don't expect it to appreciate in value over time. First, I don't think any of us can predict what will or will not be a 'collectable' but I'm gonna stick my neck out & say the P-93 will NOT be.

I never thought of this guitar as a "collectable!" I just liked the look of it, took and chance, and it turned out

to be a really decent purchase! I play it, gladly...which is the only reason I bought it, in the first place. If it

retains it's value, so much the better. But a "collectable?" ??? Never say "Never," as some very weird things

have become "collectable." But, I certainly wouldn't Count on it!

6string - you may be confusing value' date=' worth, and what somebody dreams up on to a price ticket.....

It's only 'worth' what somebody will actually pay for it, and then only when they pay.

.

And you're confusing satire with seriousness.

Was the Zephyr you're talking about that three pickup, ES-5 kinda thing? No, not a huge seller.

Hey dillweeds, the point you are missing is that poor, poor chriskevin only made $10 selling his "investment" guitar. I think all you dillweeds should feel very bad about yourselves. Poor chriskevin, bad, bad dillweeds:-({|=
