stein Posted September 8, 2011 Share Posted September 8, 2011 Gibson is MADE IN USA. If it was not, it wouldn't be Gibson. Not the same Gibson. Made in USA does not gaureentee a better guitar. But, there are some things that are distinctly American about Gibson. Canada makes some FINE guitars. Larivee makes an excellent acoustic. Of the ones I have played, the ones made in USA do not sound anywhere near as good as the Canadian ones. But even if they did, or I found one that did, there is something Canadian about them I think I can feel and I like. The idea of Gibson not being American made would be the end of an institution.
