  1. I played a ‘71 ES-335 today in GC. It had block inlays and a volute. It was $4999 in North Myrtle Beach GC if interested. It was in excellent condition. The nut was way to small for me, even with my baby girly hands.
  2. She was the one they I want. Sad news. RIP Olivia.
  3. In the Zappa doc Ruth Underwood talks about when they played with The MO. She said the sheer volume coming from the stage was a solid wave of volume.
  4. It doesn’t matter if you care about them they still exist. https://www.aclfestival.com/
  5. I think it would sound different if you used a casein pick. Nice job. I see The Beatles over the base ball stadium named after chewing gum.
  6. Its your guitar and you can put in what you want. But as rct alluded, I think he means the neck and middle are the exact same pup for both spots.
  7. Yet they still happen. I think Lollapalooza just kicked off. There is Coachella, SXSW, Bonneroo, Austin City Limits. There is the Waken Music Fest in Germany if you want one outside the USA. So they still happen. Woodstock was the big one and gets all the notoriety. Note to Festival Promoters: Do not have The Hells Angels do security for you. It won't be a happy ending if you do.
  8. I saw that too. Maybe its not hydrated? I'd get that looked at.
  9. I still have my original Gibson combo Philips Head (+) screwdriver with the truss rod adjuster on the other end. It came with the 2009 used BB King I had.
  10. Missed the original one, as I was about 2 and a half years old at the time. Missed any after that as I could care less about huge festival shows.
  11. She does have a great voice. I hear a bit of Joni in her voice when they are obviously doing the Joni songs posted. Rickie Lee, maybe, Allison Krause, not so much. Looks like she as a small bodied all Hog Collings guitar. It looks like that guy that tried to steal Murphs mando is on one of the clips.
  12. I'm not an English major for I will have to look up the word - hyperbole. I am sure Gibson, Martin, Taylor and any big guitar maker all employ craftsman that can make and ugly pickguard. If you have been around here for any amount of time and have read my posts, then you know my love Martin guitars. I love a natural top guitar, with a plain black pickguard and dot inlays with a gloss finish. There are not birds or wheat fields on it, but it makes a nice sound when strummed. Like this one:
  13. It is a good song. That was the album that was it for me with REM. Their corny End Of The World song was an overplayed piece of trash.
  14. Gibson makes it that's why. Reason #1 Noel's name it on it, and he was in this rock band that changed the world called Oasis, reason #2. They haven't made it since 1997 (man that was so long ago, that's when Grunge was almost still a thing). Reason #3. Its going to be $9799 (prices may vary outside the USA). Reason #4 Only 200 will be made, and all are spoken for, (so most of us can't have one). Reason #5 Liam, Noel's brother broke it before a concert, and now its the stuff of legend. Reason #6 If you got Reason #7 chime in and help a brother out.
  15. Did they rest the Gibson mando on Fender amps.
  16. Never cared for or followed Oasis, so I am clueless to his choice of axes, other than the two sig models he has from Gibson. I did watch a doc about Oasis and another about Noel where he was talking to a woman about his songs.
  17. If your brother is named Liam, do not let him near your guitars.
  18. ZAPPA never did anything the same twice. It may be Dinah Moe-Hum again, but he's gonna play it different. I just spent 3 hours and I ain't got a crumb from the Dinah Moe Hum.
  19. $420,000. Go big or go home. Your gonna go to jail. You could have at least stolen over a million.
  20. Do music critics still exist? And if so, why? I know what I like, and don’t like when it comes to music. If every critic gave Kangay West (The Gay Fish) or Ye, or whatever his name is this week great reviews on his new album, I still wouldn’t listen to it. I haven’t read an album review of an artist in years.
  21. In October we had to put Clyde, our 13 year old Cocker Spaniel to sleep. My wife had him since he was a puppy, and I when I met my wife he was about 3. He stopped eating and what he did eat he would throw up. He became really skinny and we made the hard choice to ease his suffering. It was not an easy thing to do.
  22. Chris Martin IV should be force fed his testicles for allowing that out of Nazareth.
  23. I’ve used curved one s when I built a few.
