  1. It may be. Because I have no idea what strings that don't sound like "Gibson" means. I was not aware that there was a "Gibson" sound produced from strings. You're going to have to explain that one to me. Perhaps I am just ignorant.

And that's the best kind of job to have! Glad to hear you are enjoying your new position Rabs. And that equipment is very cool!
  3. I am not seeing any pics on my end. I just see "Posted Image".
  4. Congratulations, Nice Score! Boogie on my friend!!
  5. I can not remember if I have seen it or not? Drag me to hell? I think I may have. And I think I thought it was OK. But I just cant't remember for some reason. Memory is going in my senior years. The Omen. Good call! I saw that on HBO when I was in High School about 1979. It terrified me. And I loved it! I thought the Shining was, well, not good. I am a King fan, read most of his books. The Shining, in book form is good. But the movie left me unsatisfied to say the least. I know however, that many people seem to like it and pick it as one of their favorites.
  6. The Excorcist scared the crap out of me. My all time favorite is Evil Dead. Both 1 and 2. Dawn of the Dead a close second.
  7. The OP did not say he was moving it to the horn. In fact, he said the opposite.
  8. Many times over many years. Bought pickups, accessories, etc.
  9. I don't own a Casino, nor claim to be very knowledgeable about them. But I believe they do have the sticker inside the body. The tuners are another question. It is weird that they appear to have no name of the manufacturer on the tuners.
  10. What amp are you using? That's just as important imo as the pickups. Are you using any pedals!
  11. Congratulations! It's not plywood. And never assume. 😃
  12. Yep, only seen 'em on mandolins.
  13. I started playing drums when I was about 12 or 13. My brother took up the guitar soon after. We jammed a lot growing up. I sometimes messed around with his guitars. But not often. In my late 20s my brother bought me a Washburn dreadnought he bought at a yard sale. I played it. And I began writing music. But there were long breaks when I did not even pick it up. Then, when I was about 44 years old I bought this beat up Aria Pro II piece of sh!t and a tiny, crappy amp from a student of mine (I'm a teacher). I had a blast with it for about a 2 weeks until the amp and then the guitar just stopped working. They had both been stored in a garage for who knows how long. That 2 weeks had a profound affect on me. I knew I needed to buy my first electric guitar and teach myself to play. And that's what I did. 12 years later, and I now have 17 guitars. 13 electric, 2 acoustic, and 2 basses. And I still have the Washburn. I still play the drums. I threw the Aria Pro in the dumpster, and I'm glad I did.
  14. Yeah I gave up after the 2nd paragraph
  15. Thank you! Yep, yours looks just like mine. It is a great playing guitar. I love the pickups in them too. Nice rig you've got there.
  16. No, I think you are wrong. A lot of people would not agree that it is "quite ugly". Maybe they might prefer something else. But quite ugly? No. "Weird shape" and "cool looking" are terms that are highly subjective to each individual. I'm pretty sure we each have our own idea of what these terms mean. I have never understood how anyone can get worked up about the Epi head stock. I just don't care at all what a head stock looks like. When I play, I am not looking at the head stock.
  17. Yes. In the last year of my Dads fight with cancer I wrote a song called "My Dad". I had trouble making it through the recording. I listened to once later. And in the past two years I have not listened to it once. Because I know I would cry. Btw my Dad loved the song. And showed the lyrics to everyone he saw. Yeah...l know...
