Guitarist magazine has done a review of the new LesPaul Deluxe. They've given a great write-up, and point out that this isn't a "reissue" more of an inspired by tribute (no pancake body for example). There's none of that muddiness that you can sometimes find with the neck pickup on a paf style humbucker. One interesting point is the weight of their example, 9.77ib for the guitar but when combined with the new style case it weighs in at 22.8lb so you'd better hope you haven't go a long walk from your van to the stage otherwise your going to need arms like a Russian shot putter. I like it.

The brothers were amongst the most influential artist in the history of rock 'n' music, and I don't believe they have ever been been awarded the credit they deserve. RIP Don.

One of my favourites is the intro, to Miranda by the band Hustler, played by Micky Llewellyn on a Flying V. Hustler only released two albums and I think their biggest claim to fame was supporting Queen on their 1974 tour, I also know that Queen were big fans of the band. I really doubt anyone on this forum has ever heard of Hustler, but the track is well worth a listen:

Honestly, I've heard drunk's in Glasgow pubs singing better than that. It maybe a "party", but those guy's are doing that for profession.

Interesting film from Guitarist magazine here in the U.K featuring the young Welsh player Chris Buck (Slash called him the one to watch) playing three 59 Les Paul's, all belonging to a collector (luck chap).

Ypaul, if you contact Gibson Customer Service : Contact (gibson.com) with your serial number they will tell you what your guitar is. I've always found them very helpful.

I don't drink either one, but I do use Coke to clean aluminium parts on my car, it's fantastic for that.

The point of the video was the irony of the situation in relation to young people's desire to have the latest phone etc. Of course we all want to see a situation where mankind has more sympathy for the environment but I believe a lot of "green" initiatives are at best misguided and at worst false, take for example electric cars, yes they may be greener to run but the biggest impact on the environment is the manufacture and disposal of the vehicle and of course the electricity has to be generated somehow. I also don't think the commentator, at any point was suggesting shooting the school children.

As sparquelito has said, the import tax , if you bought from the U.S would be prohibitive, I know because I've imported thing from there. The Post office or carrier will hold your guitar to ransom until you pay them the tax. In short, don't do it, it will work out a very expensive guitar.

Yes, but the majority of it is borrowed, as highlighted in Scales post. Here in the U.K people are taking mortgages out that will still need paying after they've reached retirement age, they're all driving around in new BMW's and Mercedes that are on contract so will never own. I think there's got to be another crash soon. When the merry go round stops, someone is going to have to pay for the ride.
