  1. I’ve thought this at times also, but, is it that we’ve missed playing with the Group so much that it sounds great even though it really might not sound as good as you think? Record yourselves & listen to it the next day… Therein lies the truth…. If it does sound great post it here!
  2. The best looking on an SG is the Maestro for sure… Check here… https://www.wdmusic.com/wd-music-products-replacement-lyre-maestro-style-vibrola-for-gibson-guitars-details.html
  3. I just a new USA Epiphone Casino… What a great job they've done on the new Casino!
  4. That’s cool! I want to get into the Green Screne thing.. Any advice & recommendations are appreciated.
  5. Sorry to hear about your situation. I hope you get it resolved.. I’d send that one back & keep sending them back until they finally get that you aren’t going to settle for sub par quality & decide to get it right.. I just got a new USA Epiphone Casino & it’s equal to my MIJ Terada built Gretsch George Harrison Duo Jet.. IMO Terada is building the finest mass Production Guitars on the Planet.. In my case Gibson Nashville ES Shop is doing excellent work.. My new Casino is flawless!
  6. I use them on my Gibson J-160E & Martin D-35.. Although I use .011 Lights & they’re great... I play both Guitars Electric most of the time.. I’ve tried all kinds of Strings from Moderate to stupid expensive & the Martin Retro Monels sound the best either Plugged In or Unplugged….
  7. Phone calls to Gibson work far better than emails which most of the time are unanswered. Beautiful 335! I’ve never seen that one before either…
  8. New Guitars have been rising in price & you can’t even get them… Check Gretsch & Guild pricking.. My Rep at Sweetwater says Prices on new Gear is going up. Mostly because of Supply chains & increased costs of Materials…
  9. I don’t believe USA Gibson HB Covers are metric….
  10. 335’s come with so many different Pickups in the never ending quest to recreate the Holy Grail 50’s PAF’s.. None have.. There are really good 335 Pickups though… The choices are subjective.. I like the recent MHS Humbuckers, while some like Classics & others choose any of several of the other Pickup choices… You need to play as many as you can to find the ones that sound best to you.. If you live near a big City like L.A. a trip to to a store like Hollywood Guitar Center would be ideal… Good luck
  11. A good Guitar sounds good from day one & only improves with age… I’ve had my Martin D35 since 1975 & my Gibson J-160E since 2000. Theyve always sounded great & have improved with age without tricks… I do take good care of them but nothing out of the ordinary…..
  12. Subjective.. Some like it & some think it ruins the Originality..
  13. I’m from the Twin Cities originally & remember them well.. Later I was stationed outside of Wash. D.C. when I was in the Army.. We frequented the one on 14th St. before & or after hitting the Bars & Clubs…. What memories!
  14. I’d buy a reissue ‘65 Vintage Sunburst Reverse Firebird VII with Maestro Lyre & Gold Hardware.. If they don’t get crazy on pricing… I’d give a Deposit right now…
  15. I hope it’s nothing like the other WB stuff ala Supergirl, Batgirl & Superman & family etc….
  16. That could be a good tune for Metallica!
  17. Thanks everyone for the great compliments! Very much appreciated! I’ve been playing the heck out it & love it!
  18. A really great Guitar & a really great Color! I dig that Blue!! I bet it sounds as good as it looks! Enjoy!
  19. I have a Gibson Memphis Blacktop ES Les Paul with Bigsby… It is Semi Hollow & is constructed like an ES335 with a Center Block… I have 0 feedback issues.. It has MHS Pickups, sounds great & weighs 7 1/2 lbs… I wish they’d reintroduce them.. I wanted a Goldtop with P90’s & Bigsby but they were discontinued & sold out in a minute… The ES Les Pauls are one of Gibsons best!
  20. That my friend is spectacular! Love the Color & the Maple neck combo… Enjoy! Dark Knight is the perfect name..
  21. I got the Royal Tan with Nickel Dogear P90’s…. Here are some Pics of my Guitar… Mike, I also have the Ltd. Edition 50th Anniv. 1961 Casino with Tremotone in Vintage Sunburst & Black Cover P90’s.. It is a Beauty & has been my main Guitar for the past 10 years… Now it’s a very very close Second to my new one.. Hope you’re enjoying your Beautiful New USA Casino!
  22. When I strap on my new USA Casino, plug it in & play I could care less which way the Inlays face or whether or not the Headstock is long or short… Recently before I got those things started messing with my head.. But, it’s such a great Guitar in all the important aspects those 2 nits seem ridiculously trivial & unimportant… I wanted a great looking, playing, master crafted & fantastic sounding USA Casino & it is…..
  23. As long as it took to get my Royal Tan I have no intention of selling… I wouldn’t accept $3000.00.. I might sell one or two of my other Casinos though.. I don’t think I need four…
  24. The 60’s Tremotones were hit & miss problematic.. The redesigned Tremotones around 2011 when the 50th Anniv. Casino’s we’re released are 99.9% trouble free.. There’s always an exception to the rule… Gibson & Epiphone doesn’t offer some of their Components to the Public….
