He spent the next 36 years in the service of his country. His Father served, my brother and I have served (Eleven Bravo!), both my Sons served, one is still active duty after 10 years, 2 Iraq tours and 3 to Afghanistan...fighting for peace. "The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men." Samuel Adams Just a slightly different take on the relationship between sex and peace. There isn't one liberty you enjoy that wasn't paid for in blood. Just be grateful and work for a better world. Personally, I'm not anti-war and I have immense respect for veterans, including everyone fighting in both Iraq and Afghanistan. That was just a quote I pulled off the internet that I thought was amusing, I didn't necessarily mean anything by it. My honest opinion is that you can't have peace without war, and you can't have war without peace. I think it's awesome that your dad is a veteran; I have 4 relatives who fought in WWII and I have great respect for each and every one of them. So... are we cool?
