Deep Purple, ‘Made in Japan’ (1972)

Sammy Hagar, 'All Night Long" (1978)

Almost bought "Made in Japan" this week.

And I own "All Night Long." Even saw the Red Rocker on that tour.

I saw him on that tour also. Saw him in Macon, Georgia.

Sammy was awesome. And I was very impressed with his guitar playing.

He opened for Boston (I think [confused]).

I don't want to re-name those already mentioned. Here are some of the best life-altering albums that have not been mentioned yet:

Thin Lizzy "Live and Dangerous"

Blue Oyster Cult "On Your Feet Or On Your Knees"

Pat Travers Band "Go For What You Know"

Led Zeppelin "The Song Remains The Same"

Yeah he did open for Boston.

Out here in So Cal, he opened for Van Halen, Black Sabbath and Boston. Great show.

Love those choices RCT.

Have you heard Clapton and Winwood Live from MSG?

There's some good playing on that album.

I was wondering when someone was going to post Frampton Comes Alive. That album is so popular. I have it. Have had it for a long time too.

I have!

The list couldn't include a whole bunch of others, including the original Clapton/Winwood live record, poorly mixed and all:

First "big act" I ever saw. 14 Year's old, Toronto, August 1978 opening for Boston.

My five would be:

Ted Nugent, Double Live Gonzo,

Rush, Exit Stage Left (actually pressed my own copy when I worked at a record plant)

Blue Oyster Cult, Some Enchanted Evening

Led Zeppelin, How the West Was Won

Kiss Alive II

Wasn't EC a strung out mess at that point in his life.

Pretty much everyone on that stage was.

Live at the Royal Albert Hall - Jimi Hendrix Experience

Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out - Rolling Stones

Live Dates Vol 1 - Wishbone Ash

Live - Robin Trower

Just One Night - Eric Clapton

All on vinyl and get played often, it's difficult to pick just 5 but a lot of the albums mentioned in this thread are in my collection too.

There's a lot of great music out there!
