Sgt. Pepper
My wife told me Betty White passed and the Legend John Madden passed a few days ago. I’m a Raiders fan so, it’s a bummer. sparquelito
Both iconic individuals, legendary personalities, and incredibly funny, warm human beings. Rest in peace indeed. 😪
SteveFord
2021 really went out in a crappy way, they were both great.
kidblast
Betty's sense of humor and honesty will be missed Madden was awesome too. When he commentated a game, you actually learned stuff about the game. Unlike that insufferable twit Tony Romo.
Whitefang
I'm not really all that much into football, but was well familiar with Madden, what he did, who he was and all. And I grew up watching Betty on TV on various shows, And she too, like Madden, was an icon in her field. Now, every year(at the end) the Turner Classic Movies channel has their own "memoriam" feature, bringing up all the show biz losses for the year. 2021 is a long and depressing list. SteveFord
Crap, I just read Dan Reeve's died on Saturday. He used to drive Ellway crazy, keep it close and then win at the very end!

fortyearspickn
Seems more people die right around Christmas / New Years. Or more famous people. I guess I'd ant to wait until I had some time after Christmas to return the presents I got I didn't want and use the cash for ...
sparquelito
Oh my gosh, now Sidney Poitier. Feb. 20, 1927- 7 January 2022 I was just watching (on my computer on youTube) Lilies Of The Field the other day. It was so good. So sad. 😑

Whitefang
Poitier's filmography is chock full of excellence in screen acting. Although I didn't like all the movies he was in, he was usually the only good thing about the ones I didn't like. So----- Let's "all stands up" and salute Mr, Schmidt, the one who built the "schappell"! A-men! Whitefang

IanHenry
Sad to hear about Ronnie's passing, but I get the impression that she's lived her life to the max. They are getting to an age where more and more of those influential people are falling off their perch, and it's got to happen more and more. RIP Ronnie.
