Lang1
Can anyone help me identify my Les Paul. I have no idea what year or specific model it is,, or if it’s even authentic. Thanks in advance
merciful-evans
Hi Lang1, Maybe. Post pictures (use a pic hosting site eg: Imgur). Clearly show headstock both sides. Front pic. Back pic. Remove trussrod cover and take pic of adjustment nut. If you can look under pickups (yes strings off). There may be info underside of PUs and in PU cavity. Photograph them. Tell us what you know. How long you had it. Where you got it (receipt?). Serial number is on back of headstock. The year may be stamped there also.
kidblast
Dude!!, you gotta give us something to go on a photo, a serial #, anything really. We'd love to help but, there's nothing to work with here.
Pinch
So far, I'd say: a possible Les Paul.
Eracer_Team
It's got a Les Paul shape, but I need just a little more time to fully analyze your request

Sgt. Pepper
We are mind readers. I'm going with an original '59 Les Paul Standard done in of course a tasty burst. Edited June 12, 2022 by Sgt. Pepper

SteveFord
I can't say for sure but it really doesn't look like one from here.
sparquelito
If I had to guess, I am going to guess: 2002 Gibson Les Paul Studio, with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge position, and a mild case of buckle rash. Dusty. Needs a restringing and some fret end polishing. 🙂
Sgt. Pepper
We are all wrong its one of those SG shaped one's called Les Paul's after they stopped making them in 1960. Les was not happy with the devil horns. I own this album of his, with the one he is not a fan of, but its on his album, so he must be getting money from Gibson using his name, and $ talks and BS walks. Edited June 14, 2022 by Sgt. Sgt. Pepper
Maybe he has an Explorer?
Pinch
He's just trying to get us to say it's a Gibson Les Paul, so he can sell a beat up uke on Reverb as "iconic".
SteveFord
I just took a closer look, I'm thinking Hardly Benton with a rattle can paint job and Mother Of Toilet Seat Cover pick guard. Edited June 20, 2022 by SteveFord
