milod
I dunno... I'll never forget when the movie "The Pawnbroker" was on. I was young and dumb and took a date to what has to have been one of the most depressing movies ever made. Since then I try to evade such stuff. m
NeoConMan
I found a similar response to Pulp Fiction when it came out in 1994. Not so much depressing as just bizarre. I took two different dates to it on consecutive weekends - they both hated it. Of course, I had to pretend not to like it so much....

Gilliangirl
Born Free....... I cried so hard I could hardly breathe. Funny story.... when Gorillas In The Mist first came to the theatres, this guy had asked me out on a first date.... to see Gorillas In The Mist. I cried my eyes out when her favourite gorilla was poached. I thought for sure that would be the last time I ever saw him again LOL LOL

Hector Arcadius
One of the most beautiful & romantic films to be shot ever, was the ''English Patient''. But I remember as well ''Dancer in the dark'' by Lars Fon Trier. I didn't cry, although I was deeply shocked, because I was worrying about my girlfriend (back then - now she's my wife). I think we both hated it, but she kept crying in my arms, even 15 minutes after walking out of that cinema...
