Underrated Bands

I have to agree with the Outlaws. We spent so much time playing their albums, having the time of our lives. Green Grass and High Tides forever is phenomenal.

I also thought Long John Baldry never got much attention. And the Pat Travers band (Canucks might know that one)

Surfpup's thread http://forums.gibson.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=22859 has a whole list of solid bands from the

'60s and '70s. (I had a couple of more bands for him to check out, but he ain't been around recently???)

Here's one you can add to the list.

zigzag mentioned the Outlaws and right away I thought of "Green Grass and High Tides". That's one great tune; and a band that I also agree is underrated.

Boston has had some recognition for many of their songs that are/have been popular, but I think they are underrated in that their albums flow so well from the first song to the last song. Some albums have good songs surrounded by "duds" that you want to skip over.

Alice Cooper; the guy and the group are very underrated. I think by going into the "glam rock" scene and having morbid stage theatrics turned some listeners off; but not me. But IMO, their music was basic and awesome. Some of their music on some albums never made it on the "Top 40". I always liked their songs "Under my Wheels" and "Halo of Flies"; and their album "Muscle of Love".

I have to admit that there are many groups whose music I have never listened to; shame on me!
