OKlunchbox
Those straplocks have got to go . They look like chrome fire hydrants . They look to be the same as Dunlop strap locks. They just put the strap end on there which does look pretty goofy, but illustrates the point that they have finally included strap locks on these things. If you didn't have the strap portion of the lock on there they look just like normal strap buttons.

ChanMan
Not really. Nice guitars and all, but having my LP and new amp have really sent my GAS into remission, proving the only known cure for GAS is Retail Therapy.
Mash94
I'll take one! I'd rather have a Traditional though...
Bluemoon
I don't understand Gibson's marketing department. Why would they create two distinct model brands--Standard and Traditional. Why not go with something like: Standard--Modern [chambered, 60s neck] Standard--Traditional [swiss cheese, 50s neck] Seems like there would be less confusion that way and they could still leverage the "Standard" brand. ckledzepplin
personally i would'nt get one, the neck shape would seem wierd, the huge ugly strap locks, and the rubber stopper jack looks ugly
led floyd9
Looks very nice! The straplocks are the only things bugging me, but they probably look better when there's a strap on the guitar.
DeVinci13
I wonder what will be more "valuable" in the years to come. The last year of production of the "old" Standards or the first year of production of the "new" Standards?
AS90
I like the look of these, but I think I would go with the traditional.
