Kimbabig
Then the list would go on forever? Â I don't really like the fast food franchises, I would rather wait 10 seconds for my food and have it taste like it came from a real farm. but as for the question I'm gonna go with popeyes. Jantha
I've never tried Popeyes. Â I do like KFC... but the price is always prohibitive for me.
SG FAN
KFC can't touch Popeyes on it's best day. Trust me, I know, I'm a fat guy Actually Jack Pirtle's Fried Chicken in Memphis is the best, but as far as fast food Popeye's got it locked down! LPguitarman
I like both, but I voted for Popeye's. Trouble is there is only one Popeye's near me and it's about 10 miles farther down the highway than KFC, so it's usually KFC. Unless we get Church's. TommyK
Used to like Popeye's better. Their biscuits were to die for. Â Not so much any more. Â I'm picky about my KFC's though. There are a few I will not patronize. They don't get a good scald on the chicken. :-& Â But I really have to avoid fried foods any more. It lays so heavy on my stomach. Â KFC 'taters and gravy are the best.
MrNylon
I have some local fast food places that are good for fast food. If I had to choose between Popeye's and KFC, Popeye's would get my vote.

NeoConMan
Popeye's - by a country mile. Spicy only, the regular stuff is too salty. Â Two spicy breasts, red beans & rice, biscuit, coupla jalapenos and a Coke. Â That's my usual order when I get near one - at least 30 miles. Â If I'm hungry, I'll get a third breast. Â Â Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had (besides Mom's) has been at truck stops. Just not very consistent, and I avoid truck stops at all costs since my job doesn't revolve around them anymore.
Jeff-7
When it comes to chain I like Popeye's better than KFC, but we have some of the best fried chicken here in Kansas. It was on Food Wars a couple months ago, Chicken Annie's vs. Chicken Mary's.
djroge1
Popeyes. I usually go there just for their Red Beans and Rice.
Golem
` Â Â I'm glad you added the "Local" option. We are fortunate to have independent trashy food joints in good variety. I voted for the "Local" .... but between just Popeye's and KFC ? Gotta be Popeye's. Â We have the usual 3/4 mile spacing from one KFC to the next but only two Popeye's in the whole local area, and it has become obligatory that if you're coming from one of the Popeye-served neighborhoods into a suffering KFC zone, well you'd better stop at Popeye's and bring the groceries ! NeoConMan
KFC ain't what it used to be . . . I do like the extra crispy okay though. Â Read the story on Harlan Sanders and how he started the Kentucky Fried Chicken chain. Hilarious, scary, informative, entertaining. Â Dave Thomas of the Wendy's Hamburgers chain was an early franchisee.

Tman
You know, I think KFC's a lot like Gibson. Big brand name and innovative, producing tried and true stuff a lot of people like (original recipe - Les Paul) and newer things that a lot of people hate but some like (whatever that sandwich is that uses 2 pieces of chicken instead of bread - firebird X). I'm a low carber so I love the meatwich. Not an effects in guitar guy but love robot so probably wouldn't try to buy the X but want a robot. There was a lot of vitriolic reaction to the sandwich when it came out - just like the firebird X. Are they trying to kill us?....etc.
