Mickthemiller
Here is my cover of Cat Stevens's Where Do The Children Play... got a little resonator in there too. https://soundcloud.c...e-children-play Great version of a great song - you've got the voice for it too. Cat Stevens wrote some wonderful stuff
MorrisrownSal
Wow havent checked up here in a while. Thanks Mick! And Badblues - the Thrill Is Gone is AWESOME. You sound like Dave Bromberg. Great voice and performance.
fsharp
This is the first time I've tried recording anything. Not quite sure I have control over the process yet. https://soundcloud.c...eld/kathys-song Used my J-
cunningham26
Been awhile since i've posted here- been trying to carve out time to get stuff recorded, basically just hitting record and trying to run through stuff and pretend I'm not recording. This is one of the first songs i ever wrote, many years ago now. The guitar is my super buzzy 2014 Epiphone Caballero. I wanted the ease of plugging the guitar in to record and not have two mics bleeding into each other. anyway, here 'tis https://soundcloud.com/thesouthseasmusic/made-it

duluthdan
The more I listen yo this, the more I am captivated. Open tuning? How/what? I have to learn this. I just listened to Mumford's version - I like your performance a lot better.
blindboygrunt
Open D Dan. With capo on third , or whatever suits you. I think mumfords do it the same way but with capo in different place than me. Open G also works just shift the chords up a string. Would work in any open tuning , but doesn't in standard tuning. At least in no way I found. The little slide part seems to be intrinsic to the song. A 3 chord wonder

MR GIBS
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7saSLlbTeDU W i n t e r s p a r r o w I am a winter sparrow, a small cirrous scamp, A gray ball of audacity in the wilderness of the cold. I am a jumping syncope among the singing melodies Hundred-directional and nimble, cutting shout in the morning I am a bird from the clay, in the clay I relive, I’m transforming the clay in a chirping stream Funny rhymes are composing my larky steps On the empty pages of the book of God. And God is smiling and He lays me up a nest He knows I am raucous, He knows I am daft And He tips out grains of love – for me to peck When my soul gets hungry in the cold outside. Hidden in your palm is that crumb today – A bright affection from The Creator for me. When you open your fist you will not feed a birdy God Himself for his love will be donated. duluthdan
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7saSLlbTeDU Magnificent musicianship on that 12 string. Nice melody, I wish I knew your language, this sounds quite expressive. [thumbup]

MR GIBS
My latest song based on the lyrics of a friend. Recorded this one with my ZOOM Q3 HD using my new Gibson J180 Billie Joe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFAJ8kZ8XtY Death came and then went away Death is a waiter who takes us away Needed as a glass of wine Unnecessary as a very empty cup. A guard is she. Prevents from greatness. Prevents our divinity. Death hides due to its propriety And she is always so natural. But we are always too surprised Because they are never enough The life or the vine and the bread Or our vicious unconceptions. Before the feeling of a movement I sit at the table and I order Serenity for me and for my fellow creatures but cruelly empty are all the barrels. I figure out that there is nothing scary The laughter of the silence is contagious Remained a half full glass And I'm already half empty.
