Recently I've been listening to nothing but "At the Drive-In" mostly the Relationship of Command, and Vaya albums. There is not much to plug here cause the band has been broken up for like 10 years. But here are a couple of my fav's.

Maybe they'll get back together, since I missed out on seeing them live when they were together.

I used to love these guys! So awesome!

Now that I've become interested in printing and graphic art in general, I've really come to appreciate the artwork on Relationship of Command. That's a really great album cover. And the music isn't bad either ;)

I am on a big Sonic Youth kick again. Just got my new Marantz integrated amplifier, an Ortofon 2M Red, and the 180 gram reissue of Sister. Turn table is calibrate and bookshelf speakers are positioned for maximum sonic assault. Also been spinning their last record: The Eternal. Steve Shelly's toms sound ace on Antenna and What We Know.

You know it. Relationship of Command is an epic album. One Armed Scissor sends off to magical places, like a hit of white cross.

Haha yeah, its cool. I'll email you the album cover I just made for my band. Way simpler, but that album art for Relationship of Command is the best. Great contrast

Oh yeah. One Armed Scissor is a total classic!

Now I know Modest Mouse is kindof cliché but I love them anyways. Lately I've been listening to the album Everywhere And His Nasty Parlour Tricks a lot and can't get enough of Night On The Sun in particular.

So here it is...

Night On The Sun

This song is seriously borderline orgasmic to me.. Especially towards the end. I listen to this song over and over, sing it all the time, whistle it all the time, play it on guitar all the time. I just love everything about this song.

I just keep coming back to the Lucinda Williams Live at the Filmore... great melodies and guitar-work/tone.

How good is she? I love Car Wheels.... fab album. I'm not a fan of "country" music as rule, but I could listen to her all day.

Recently?

Been a very busy work week... these two "types/bands" have been keeping a gray-hair awake.

Backstroke Blues Band is great given that English ain't a primary language for the girl singer.

And always, always, "Western Underground" that ain't rock, country or cowboy but adds 'em all together.
