Christian guitarist/artist/worship leader Lincoln Brewster hit the big time when he landed the job as the guitarist for Steve Perry.

He left all of that behind to become a worship leader; all for Christ.

There is a theory that Chopin's work was all intended to be played with a swinging, syncopated rhythm. It sounds like smooth jazz if you do.

Axl Rose used to earn $8 an hour for smoking cigarettes, for a science experiment at California's UCLA. [lol]

In 1996, Ringo Starr appeared in a Japanese advertisement for apple sauce, which is what "Ringo" means in Japanese.

Pete Townshend has smashed more than 90 guitars in his Who career, including at least 23 Fender Stratocasters, 12 Gibson Les Pauls and 21 Gibson SGs. #-o

Green Day singer/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong's cat Zero died in his washing machine. [crying]

The world's most expensive drumkit belonged to The Who's Keith Moon. His 'Moon The Loon's' custom-made 1968 Premier drum kit was auctioned off at Christie's in London in 2004 for $252,487. [love]

Each bobbin of a dual-coil humbucker pickup can have 5000 turns of wire. So, for a three-pickup Gibson Les Paul 'Black Beauty', that could be over 3km of pickup wire. [drool]

Before hooking up with the Experience, Jimi Hendrix played the Chitlin Circuit in bands backing up R&B artists like Chuck Jackson, Sam Cooke, and Jackie Wilson. Living for a while at the Hotel Theresa in Harlem, Jimi played in a back-up band for The Isley Brothers, and later, played in Little Richard's band.

Lee Aaron ( metal singer from the nineties ) now sings Jazz. Not bad for a woman that should've been an opera star if her mother had it her way

Are you saying that he doesn't do music for money?

not saying that at all. Don't read too much into what you think I wrote.

He walked away from the fame, big bucks and big shows. His first job as a worship leader was in a fairly small church on a volunteer basis. He has since returned to writing songs - many famous worship songs, touring, and as worship leader.

Everyone has to make money to survive.

Leo Fender, inventor of the Stratocaster and Telecaster, could not play the guitar.

Cokatoos appear to understand music and rhythm, they even dance.

The Star-Spangled Banner became the US national anthem in 1931. Prior to that, it was My Country ‘Tis of Thee," which had the same melody as Britian's national anthem God Save the Queen, which is based on music written by John Bull in 1619. Bull's melody has been used more than any song in national anthems.
