heymisterk
I can think of Izzy Stradlin', Alvin Leeds, and Ted Nugent. Obviously hollow or semi-hollows don't work for metal, but I think the sound of one overdriven by just the right amount has a sweet, "tingly" sound to it. heymisterk
Dave Grohl That's right. He plays that cool Gibson with the Fender-esque headstock.
Guest farnsbarns
That's right. He plays that cool Gibson with the Fender-esque headstock. The DG335 no less. It was a custom build for him, then a limited run sig model came along, not identical but very similar, they change hands for enormous sums now. Gibson had talked of a second run, they may even have done it already. The DG335 was originaly based on this Trini Lopez sig

Riffster
Whenever he played guitar Klaus Meine of Scorpions played an ES335. Ritchie Blackmore started on an ES335 until he saw Hendrix playing a Strat, he was more impressed with the guitar than Jimi himself.
