  1. At no point have I been convinced by the tone master series but it would be cool if it were quite a bit cheaper
  2. Yeah I was talking about the top pic you posted. It’s one of the old ones with veneer.
  3. I’m sure it’s not a coincidence that original Metallica fans are now at just the right age demographic to buy something like this
  4. That top one definitely has a veneer but you’re probably talking about a different model Those Schecters are really nice for the money. With uncle Rabs there to address any set up issues it should be very playable
  5. Cause ya know… who wouldn’t wanna look just like Kirk Hammett
  6. Beautiful guitar. Agreed with Rabs that a metronome is an important practice tool. You might notice yourself becoming more physically tense as you try to play faster. As this happens, try to identify and eliminate any tension. Always try to think of the easiest way to pick the notes. For example some riffs are really easy if you start on an upstroke
  7. I’m pretty sure I used to have an MF catalog that had this guitar in it. Remember getting those catalogs in the mail? I think those fretboard inlays are really pretty cool. Nice addition to your collection
  8. Very much looking forward to it. Absolutely can’t wait
  9. In the good ol days you just died when you crashed. Less bad drivers by natural selection.
  10. Looks normal to me. Beautiful really
  11. On the bright side, these symptoms are sortof indicative of a highly resonant, very fine instrument 😇
  12. We got a couple bloviators on board for sure. Lotsa drivel lately
  13. I’ll send you any good plans or info I find. Ya know a 336 in this sparking rose finish with the custom style purfling and everything would be quite nice i remember the blue build! I think I might do a thinline Tele style body to dip my toes in. Maybe a hog back with spruce top and Martin style purfling or something kinda unique
  14. Rabs I’ve been looking at 336 style build threads and I gotta say it’s something that we should give a shot one day. http://sveopravljenjuelektricnegitare.weebly.com/uploads/9/2/8/0/9280515/gibson_cs_356.pdf
  15. Chrome doesn’t really age the way nickel does. On my most played guitar with chrome hardware, my hand went through the chrome revealing kindof a coppery brassy color on the saddles. There are no parts that have the tarnishing like you see on nickel hardware If you look at old guitars from the 70s with chrome hardware it still looks shiny but sometimes the metal underneath oxidizes and starts to flake the chrome off
  16. I’m definitely not a fan. I like a lot of the vintage reissue stuff because I like the original guitars but relics are way too much
  17. Maybe QC is quick connect. They were messing around with those molex connectors for a while
  18. Are you sure the template is made for 24 3/4”? Gibson scale length is generally referred to as 24 3/4” but it varies slightly in different time periods.
  19. No way any of their recorded music is as bad as the covers they play live. That’d be my main reason for not wanting to see them live
  20. Wow this one really hits hard for me. Sorry rct.
