2014 Epiphone Union Jack Sheraton waiting thread

I went with guitarguitar in the end, they said it was rubbish that andertons ordered earlier because they ordered on release day! I had problems with Dawson's a couple of years ago buying my ej200, probably just a one off though, plus the idea was to go to the local guitarguitar in Birmingham and collect it but mines apparently coming from the Glasgow store when they get theirs!

I got a Thunderbird Classic IV Pro and an Epiphone Hard Case last year from Dawsons and it was spot on so I went with them again - the 0% Finance makes it easier as well!

I shouldn't really moan - I've waited 7 months already another week or two should be fine!

I'm glad I've cancelled my order...I'll pick one of the rejects up when they get rejected and refurbished

During my "working years" as a quality control inspector and supervisor/manager (I worked my way up the "corporate ladder...lol) , we had a saying : "send the "rejects" (dumb and slow "workers") to inspection"...send the rejects to inspection. I must have heard that saying a million times... As a supervisor, I had to deal with a lot of "rejects"...lol

F holes aren't that bad to be honest should take a minute to sort out, most of it on mine is a powdery residue, action wasn't to high either but like I say that will be sorted out anyway, all in all I'm really impressed with the finish, and the case is really nice aswell, can't fault andertons for their service, kept in contact over the months I was waiting for, this will be my fourth guitar from them, and honestly they'll keep getting my money.

True to your word, you posted the pics!Beautiful, and a prominent place to display it too.Best of Luck with it...Thanks.Luke

I have a question, please...

If I read it correctly, the specs include a "LockTone™ Tune-o-matic bridge".

Does this mean that the bridge locks in place, similar to a Tone Pros Tune-O-Matic, or is it just the name of the bridge?

If it does lock in place, how is that done?

Thanks. :)

Stephen

you read it correctly but the tune-o-matic bridges with the narrow holes are not lock tone. the lock tones have a small collar on the inside of the wider hole bridges (found on LP's and SG's) that lock it down to the posts.

Willsby,

How goes it with the UJ?

Did you find anything you don't like about it?

How does it sound to you?

What type of neck carve does it have? Does it have big shoulders on the neck or smaller ones? How thick do you make the neck out to be?

How heavy or light weight is the guitar?

We're dying here mate to know as much about the UJ as you might be able to provide.

Thanks, and talley-ho. :)
