Dub-T-123 Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 According to the serial number my SG is 10 years old today. I feel obligated to post a thread in it's honor, because this guitar just rules! Everyone's got a favorite. This is my favorite.
deeman Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Awesome. My girl is close to 10 years too. They grow up so fast.
pippy Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Many Happy Returns of the Day! What will she get as a birthday present? A pedal, perhaps?..... Pip.
SteveFord Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 And here I thought this thread was going to be about me - huh! Nice SG!
OldCowboy Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 My youngest guitar will be 38 this November. Bought it New. I'll be thinking about this all day....
Dub-T-123 Posted June 24, 2016 Author Posted June 24, 2016 Thanks for the replies everyone!! Many Happy Returns of the Day! What will she get as a birthday present? A pedal, perhaps?..... Pip. So you're saying I need to buy another pedal? Ok! You don't need to tell me twice :P Hmm, this means my Melody Maker is a cougar.. I like a good cougar. Be careful bringing it around me, I might finesse that g string and stick my 1/4" in there. Did I miss any innuendos there?

StRanger7032 Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Congrats! I celebrated 20 years earlier in 2016 with my Heritage Cherry Epi G-400. I could have only dreamed of having a "real" SG back when I bought it.
'Scales Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 I like a good cougar. Be careful bringing it around me, I might finesse that g string and stick my 1/4" in there. Did I miss any innuendos there? Yeah, I reckon there was room for a 'nut' thing at least.
sparquelito Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Happy birthday to that beautiful red girl, and a happy Saturday to all my good Gibson forums friends. I hope your day is filled with fun, adventure, joy, great cold beers, and a heaping measure of good & pleasurable guitar playing! (I would also say that I hope that your day features lots of sex with a bevy of slutty bar maids, but I took the classy high-road this time.) :)
