Damn, brother. That is one fine tune! It’s got that magic combination Ray Wylie Hubbard talks about: Grit, groove, tone and taste.

Your set-up sounds great, too.

To be mentioned in the same sentence as RWH is an honor.

Thanks.

You coulda been a contender !

Thanks FYP.

I had many good decades gigging with some top bands in many different areas of the country. Two albums on cdbaby, itunes, googleplay and never sold out to "the man".

And I ain't done yet.

Sounds great!  Lyrical-wise, song hook-wise, vocally, and, of course, your pickin’ on that J-15.

Thanks, Jeff. You've been slacking too, slap one on us ole' boy.

Yea, I've been slacking. This retirement thing is taking up all my time...

I don't do a lot of love songs but hey, Bob's yer uncle.

J-15 through the Bose S1-Pro

, with a Bluechip.

I think it would sound different if you used a casein pick. Nice job.

I see The Beatles over the base ball stadium named after chewing gum.

I keep waiting for Charmed Life, Red Bear, Appolo or one of those guys to send me one to try out. I'd give them an endorsement on a song.

I guess you need more than 25 views per song...

Thanks, Sarge.

damn fine tune Murph.

? for ya..  the J15, is that from a pickup to the S1 or was that second mic pickup up the J?

Kid.

We found an envelope with your name under....

Just the SM57 micing the J-15, Kid. There's no chord plugged into it, hell I've never changed the battery, it's probably welded in there by now.

The beauty of the Bose S1-Pro (for me) is that it has 2 mic inputs. I also play a 1933 Gibson mandolin with no pickup, and an imported Fender resonator with no pickup, so I need the SM57 anyhow and guitars simply sound better miced.

The L1-Compact only has 1mic and 1 instrument.

I (quite often) will use the S1-Pro and send a line out to the L1-Compact and that will carry me for almost any gig, and if I need more, I can line out of the L1-Compact into a full p.a., or my Carvin AG100-D, or a powered speaker. The S1-Pro is a really handy and good sounding little rig.

Thanks.
