Tim Plains
My PRS Custom 22... I'm sure some of you guys remember I said it was 1 of 5 custom builds for a PRS dealer here in Ontario. A custom built Custom 22, how nice!! Here are some pictures of all 5. What do you guys think? Looks wise, the one I bought and the gold one are equally my two favourites; closely followed by that purple one. Actually, the purple one is quite stunning! All 5 have pretty crazy tops, though, I'm sure you'll agree. ^ mine I didn't put this together but found it on their website and felt it was worth posting. > click
rocketman
Damn they are sweet. I love yours!! But did you have to show me these while I'm waiting for my PRS to come in??? Geez, you're killing me...
Dub-T-123
I like the purple one. The blue ones look like a nice beach. The top looks like water with waves in it and the back looks like the sand.
daveinspain
Don't like them at all... Too over the top, pun intended... I don't like heavy quilt tops not even on a Gibson but that's just me....
Shnate McDuanus
Oh, I don't know... They're pretty and all, but I guarantee you I wouldn't be satisfied with the playability on any of them.

They're pretty and all, but I guarantee you I wouldn't be satisfied with the playability on any of them.[/quote'] How many PRS's have you played. Sorry I keep forgetting your vast experience with guitars. Your not even dry behind the ears. They all look great and I'll bet they all play great. I haven't heard AreNine complain about any of his. You just post to get your count up what a waste. CW

CW Not everyone enjoys using the same instruments. That why there are different brands' date=' different models, etc.. I've tried a few PRS's and, although it may not be fair for me to judge based solely on first impressions and in-store experiences, I haven't played one that I liked enough to really want. That's all there is to it. They're awfully pretty, and they're good enough for Are Nine, so there's nothing wrong with them at all. Besides, Alex Lifeson likes them, Carlos Santana likes them, Buddy Guy likes them, Slick Aguilar likes them, and so on. When I find one [i']I[/i] want to buy, I'll let you know. FennRx
i'm usually not one for quilts (or PRS for that matter ), but those are stunners....especially the purple one. they're almost too much to look at. nice job timmy!
Tim Plains
But did you have to show me these while I'm waiting for my PRS to come in??? Actually' date=' yes. You're the main reason I made this thread...and you're welcome!! XDemonknight, I know what you mean. I've played several in the stores that did absolutely nothing for me but I've also played more Gibson Les Pauls that I didn't like than ones that I liked. IMO, a lot of Gibson LPs play like complete crap...and I love LPs. I've played 2 these 5 PRSi - the gold one being the other - and they're both incredible. I know who owns that gold one and if he sells it, I'll probably buy it. I have 3 PRSi and 10 Gibsons. If it really came down to it (knock on wood), I'd sell 1/2 my Gibsons before I sold one PRS. Besides' date=' Alex Lifeson likes them, Carlos Santana likes them, Buddy Guy likes them, Slick Aguilar likes them, and so on.[/quote']Don't forget Jimmy Page... they're almost too much to look at. +1. When I had the two of them side by side' date=' I almost creamed my pants. Ba sshole, I wish you hadn't of wrote that. I hate Nickelback as much as the next guy. cdntac
Did you see the blue quilt they had in there that was signed by Dweezil Zappa on the back? Can't recall what model it was but it sure looked nice. They had (maybe still do have) a blue CU22 that was, IIRC, a 20th anniversary model. I didn't like it during my first visit there but the second time I took a good look at it. Didn't need a second CU22 though.

Silenced Fred
PRS' are very nice, I don't like quilted tops Not for me, but I can recognize and appreciate true beauty, and those are that.
