BIGBENDS
Played my old Gibson Sonex recently and I had forgotten how nice the speed knobs feel. Might change to speed knobs on my Standard, or maybe black speed knobs on my Custom (<<<see pic<<<). Don't get me wrong. Love the Top Hats too. Any Speed knobbers out here? surfpup
Yep.. I dig 'em. A lot easier to grab IMHO
Andre S
Top Hats for me please! I didn't really dig them on my Studio....so I swapped them for some amber top hats

LPguitarman
I like speed knobs. Changed them out from the top hats on my Classic Antique. Before After
sparky scott 29
Unless it is the cheapest guitar there is, I always leave it the way it came from the store, or, original here.. I know I can always put it back, but I'm sorta that way foe some reason.. Same as a couple of old Chevies I own, all as close to original as possible.. damian
I prefer Top Hats; They look better IMO........Then again, the only time I'll adjust a knob is a tone knob, even then, rarely....... I run volume pots full on.....always.. I did put speed knobs on my gal; very effective.
Sinner 13
Speed knobs all the way. I am A knob adjuster, you ALL should try it. you can get a plethora of AWESOME tone combos, if you play around a little.

Silenced Fred
Reflector Knobs for me. I changed from Speed Knobs. I still change knobs around on the fly, and I find it easier with the reflectors... go figure
Twiz
I'm a fan of speed knobs. I put 'em on all my guitars. I think they are a simple, and inexpensive way to add a little zazz to your riff machine...
ChanMan
I got 'em both. The Elite Strat has nice rubber-grip top hats, and my LP has speed knobs. Heck, my old Audition guitar that I used to gig with didn't have any knobs at all... just the little metal pot stems (did I just say pot stems??) Oh and a HUGE +1 on using them... expecially the volume knob!
BIGBENDS
Well, here's to variety and enjoying what we've got either way. Bonfire, which SG is that in your avatar? Classic Custom guitar of the week 38? Twiz, that Studio is nice! Love the finish and the way the pickup rings and gold knobs highlight it. LPGuitarman, everytime I see your Classic Antique, I love it more.
