freak show
Wow, two threads from me in one day! I must have a cold... But in my other thread, NeoConMan said something about most of the Stones songs not really motivating him to turn up the volume of the radio when he hears them. I like this expression, because that's basically the sign of a great Rock song: It makes you want to turn up the volume. So what are some songs that you just have to crank up? I can't hear "Heartbreaker" from Zeppelin at anything less than 11.
G McBride
"Start Me UP". I love that song cranked up. Another Oldy but Goody to me is "All The Way To Memphis", got to love the guitar and piano hammering out this song together.

RobinTheHood
Clutch - Big News 1 & 2. That song DEMANDS to be played loudly...well, most anything by Clutch demands to be played loudly. I thinks its because of Neil Fallon's voice.

Big Bill
For me it often depends on the bass line if I'm to crank it up or not. This is one of my favorites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42nATmBUg5A I GOTTA FEEL THE BASS!
cjlandry
Most of the above. Grand Funk pretty much always gets cranked up! The one that comes to mind right now is, "The Boys are Back in Town" by Thin Lizzy. "Man when I tell you she was cool, she was red hot. I mean she was steamin'!" Another is AC/DC's "Long Way to the Top". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1iR2Wi3u5o Lest I forget... "Joan Crawford" by Blue Oyster Cult: I could spend all day coming up with songs that I have to crank up. Hell, since you asked, I just might.
