dem00n
Cool and all but near the bottom of the guitar the quilt gets to big and kinda ruin the burst. Just what i think.
69 Son
Thyat is gorgeous. I had a highly-flamed 1995 Custom 24 (wide-thin) w/ birds in that color that I sold in 1999. Traded a Martin D-28 for it. Here locally PRS guitasrs are selling dirt cheap recently, regular Customs on CL can be had for $1200-1500.
NeoConMan
Beautiful RM! Yeah, PRS isn't really moving in the Phoenix area from what I see over the last two years. I dunno.
ChanMan
Sorry man... I've only seen one charcoal guitar that I cared for. Mostly they look like someone varnished a piece of burnt wood to my eye. Glad you found a guitar that strikes your fancy, though!
Jeff-7
I like it, PRS has always seemed to have a very low resale value (compared to original purchase price) for some reason.

pippy
I know I'll be very much in the minority on this but I think that guitar looks utterly horrible. There is absolutely nothing about that top and finish I like. I'm certain it will be a wonderful player, though... P.
daveinspain
The burst is too chunky for me. I'm more for the R9 type bursts, subtle beauty...

Californiaman
I for one like quilt tops, flamey necks, and beautiful paint jobs.

Witmer
I like the wood and finish... but are those gold pickup covers?
rocketman
I like the wood and finish... but are those gold pickup covers? Yep, they are brushed gold plated pickup covers. I always like to hear everyone's opinions. Thanks for the comments. Interesting set of tastes here...
NeoConMan
When I ordered my 20th Anniversary, I deleted the gold. Pics in link below. WARNING - The quilted Maple top has been known to make drunks in the audience dizzy. (Women have asked me if it was "real" wood...)
Tim Plains
I always like to hear everyone's opinions. Thanks for the comments. Interesting set of tastes here... Are you considering buying it or is this just a general opinions thread? It's the exact same as the one you already have and there's no point in owning two of the same guitar. I owned a Charcoalburst SC245 for a while and it's a really strange colour in person. The natural colour of the maple comes through the black finish at times and looks almost fleshy. That's a beautiful quilt top but I wouldn't buy another guitar in that finish if given the choice. I still like mine better.
Wildkat57
PRS = Waaay over priced in my book... I tried a bunch of them a year ago - could not find one that felt good or sounded right. I will stick to my Les Paul. But I hope you will enjoy it.
bluzhammer
I have a Custom 24 and never could adjust to the 5 way rotary knob. I had it replaced with a push pull pot , worked much better for me.
