badbluesplayer
Check it out! I built a Fender Pro type amp a couple years ago and I just changed the tone circuit to a Bassman style TMB stack. Check the new tonestack! New Mids control in the Bright #2 hole- Old volume controls for normal and bright channels - New pull-bright volume pots on normal and bright channels - Rewired the power tubes to from the anemic 5E5A Pro style to the more powerful 5F6A style. Oh baby - One final shot - Edited June 22, 2023 by badbluesplayer 1

Karloff
solder is well flowed & perfect fillets ... I'm always surprised at some of the poor soldering I see in guitars or amps from factories. Edited June 23, 2023 by Karloff

Whitefang Or course Page with the Zoso symbol, but the caps say Sozo (I'm sure to prevent a law suit), and the Z is the same font in both. I'm always surprised at some of the poor soldering I see in guitars or amps from factories. Most DIYers use 63/37 or 60/40 solder which flows easily but does not meet ROHS compliance. Factories use lead free solder which does not flow or look the same the soldering here looks great but it’s probably one of the least impressive parts of this build. A monkey could make a good solder joint. What sets this build apart is the neat hand wiring, quality components, and thoughtful modifications/tuning

badbluesplayer
Aaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnndddddd here's where I ditch the pull-brights and stick a 47p cap on the bright channel. That sounds good for the bright channel. Ditched the grounding bar. It was making some kind of slight oscillation at times and I figured it was the pull brights that were picking up something. Prob too close to the board.
