EVOL!
Supernaut by Black Sabbath. That riff is sick. Honorary mention to Walk by Pantera, but only because it is track number 2 on my my weight lifting mix.

Silenced Fred
Duane- I have to agree the opening lick is cool, I am a little embarassed to say it the song is way overplayed, but girls love that song, if you can play the opening lick, you don't even have to play anything else, they just start singing the song And, I am 17, and I will say, she's pretty cute

milod
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByUOFV5TusE Julie London singing, Kessel pickin'. Nothing against Ella and Joe Pass - this is just the original, the classic. Simple. Beautiful; initiates tension, then smooths into simple rhythm backup... for one of the sexiest songs, sexiest singers, kinda an alto sax voice. No fancy runs voice or guitar. Okay, I like old stuff that's simple, melodic and clean. m

DeVeeWee
Hey' date=' a fellow Johnny Marr fan on this board? I don't believe it.[/quote'] and...I don't believe what I'm reading here,...LOL! Hahaha! Johnny is probably the most underrated rock guitar player I know, and you simply can not ignore all those guitar riffs that made The Smiths great! That guy is just a genius and for me he's a bit like Miles Davis was to Jazz music...not a schredder(so no Charlie Parker) but an extreme melodic guitar player... Duende
As a Randy Rhoads fan, the first opening riff that comes to mind that is an all time favourite is Ozzy's 'I Don't Know'. Matt
NeoConMan
Ozzy? Flying High Again for me. intro to "Lonely Is The Night" by Billy Squire. Yep. Not many people recognize it anymore. That's one I would throw out there between songs' date=' just messing around. Look around, there's always a couple people with the "Huh?" look on their faces. And one guy who gets it, pumps his fist in the air and shouts "YES!" Lowdown, [b']Speedin' Back To My Baby[/b] is a great one! I love the solo, switching between the left and right speaker. Great Bluesy rock tune. Jeez. So many.... Dozens of AC/DC songs. I guess I would have to go with this one - makes the fur stand up on the back of my neck every time.
