L5Larry
I've said it before, everyone ought to own a few Strats. Two of them in this photo could be bought. The ultimate white Strat, hardtail, Clapton electronics, basswood body, and maple neck, $1000. OR, you can have the 1960, sunburst, rosewood neck for about $30,000. Take your pick! The The 1954 reissue prototype, also with Clapton electronics, built for me by John Page at the Fender Custom Shop is NOT FOR SALE.

How does a traitor fall? Just messing with you. You're a traitor if you stick to 1 kind of guitar.
RichCI
Strats are a good thing.
NeoConMan
One kind of guitar - Pffffttt!!! Fender humbuckers, Dove P-90's in an Ash body, stock American Standard, plus a stock Ash Tele. Pretty much got it covered for Fender stuff. (In the background you'll see a couple of Guilds - Starfire III hollow body, Blues Bird with P-90's.) tartanbeastie
Strats dont really do it for me but i love my telecaster. However i was at the pink floyd experience recently and the lead guitarist was playing what looked like a strat in a natural wood finish (dark brown) with a polished metal scratchplate and it looked pretty cool
EVOL!
i just got a white sg and now all the sudden i want a strat really bad does anyone think thats a problem (i fell like a traitor). I hate Strats. You could go for something better if you want single coil pickups or a Fender. Fender makes a lot of solid guitar like the Jazzmaster, Jaguar, or thin line Tele. Why go so pedestrian with your tone?
RichCI
Because they don't sound like a Strat.
FirstMeasure
Pedestrian? My Three Strats all have very different Timbers and Voices, none of which I'd describe as Pedestrian.

I left this one original, I only use it on special occasions since they don't offer the Red and White version anymore.

recsec
Neo, how are those P-90's, I have an HSS Strat that I really like and a HH Tele and I'm seriously GASing for something with P-90's. I never thought about putting them in a Strat.

The MIA Buddy Guy is a very Impressive Instrument. 25db booster (The Clapton model only has 15db booster)' date=' and the Lace Sensor PUs really make it a nice Guitar. The only thing that he two models share is the one piece Deep V neck, I believe, and that is a very comfortable neck. The MIM version is a real nice guitar, too. Just less a few frills. Personally I don't like to put Batteries in my Guitar, so I stay away from db Boosters and Active Pick Ups, and I just loved the Red and White Polka Dots
