My beloved Vox ac30. When I played with those new people last night, the second I turned it on everybody was totally in love with the sweet tone of my SG running into it.

I've never had so many compliments about my playing/ sound.

I just cranked it up and used my guitar's volume knob to clean it up or get it more overdriven. That's the way to go.

Marshall JCM 800 from 1981 - vertical inputs/1960 A & B cabs.

Fender Hot Rod DeVille 2x12 - 60 watts (gets 95% of the play time)

Fender Blues Junior 1x12 - 15 watts (Just like Dom is trying to get....)

Peavey Musician 400 solid state head (210 watts!!!) from the 1970's and a Peavey 4x12 A cab.

Crate B200 XL bass amp with a 2x15 cab.

All hail the Mighty Marshall in its splendor and glory!!!!

(Even if I never turn the damned thing on - 100 watts is INSANE inside a house.)

an early-to-mid 90's carpet-covered carvin x100b. i totally dig the sounds i get out of it. a very inexpensive underrated amp....

That is a great amp. My friend has one of those so I've a whole lot of it's sound. He got it for $250 off craigslist. For $250, it's a LOT of amp. It's just a lot of amp period.

Anyone looking for a good, cheap 100w all tube head and 4x12 cab 1/2 stack should check them out.

I picked up a used Rocktron R50C it's a small opened back 2 channel combo solidstate 25 watts per side stereo into 2 x 8" speakers with spring reverb & stereo chorus, reminds me of the ROLAND JC 120 but with a distortion channel, it get some great sounds and the effects are not too bad, it has extra stereo speaker outputs that I plug into an Guitar Research angled 4 x 8" cabinet that I rewired to stereo 2 x 8" @ 8ohms a side. It's a closed back cab, just took it off for the pic. The Mega Tone 8" speakers have some big mags for a little speaker. These outputs do not shut off the internal speakes so all 6 x 8" speakers are active. The matching head in the picture died, but the cab is cool, has casters and handles. So the R50C pushes 25 watts a side @ 4 ohms into 3 x 8" speakers a side. The Guitar Research sounds like a marshall 1960A, it can realy crank for a little cab, wish they made the matching Bottom. The R50C fits right on top and the feet match up with the inserts on top of the bottom. I installed a switch that I use to turn the 2 x 8" speakers in the R50C off so just the GR CAB can be use for a little more focused sound.

I also play my Blackstar HT-5's through the GR CAB too.
