Buc McMaster Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Here's a silly little rock n' roll song I wrote for the band to kick out the jams with. It was a great "get 'em on the dance floor!" tune. I used to sing it in the key of A but, as time goes by, I find that to be too steep a hill to climb, so this is in E. Got the tune finished just in time for the phone......... Let's rock! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sK6MLQiu_x8&context=C3152385ADOEgsToPDskJuVz5aQjoR6L15dNZRNp-a
JuanCarlosVejar Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Nice one Buc :) . really like the way you played on that tune . May I request you take into consideration doing "Goodbye" by Steve Earle ? I like your voice and your style . I think you would do a nice job on that one JC
Guth Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 That one's loads of fun. I'm really digging the J-45, not to mention digging watching you dig the J-45. Good stuff!
EuroAussie Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 The phone ringing right at the end was perfect timing !
gotomsdos Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Wow ! What a cool blues ! and a dramatic ringing end ! hehehe But on youtube, you left wrong label for guitar model, songwriter (should be J45 TV)
Eyecon Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Loved it! I can tell you are having the time of your life your life playing and singing your songs. I knew that when you got your new J45TV that we would be treated with your songs. Lets hear some more!
blindboygrunt Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 total agreement with everyone , great stuff buc . i think everyone should make a video , is good to see what folk look like , a face to the threads cheers buc , appreciate your efforts and spotsmanship :-) keep em comin the alternative this morning was reading weights of guitars !! so more videos and songs please !! :-P
57classic Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Really good Buc. Keep em coming. Between you and Guth we're all getting new music a few times a week. Great sounding axe.
Deadgrateful Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Splendiforous tune! I'd sure like to hear it done by the full band if you have any recordings available?
j45nick Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Buc, your J-45 has the absolutely classic J-45 sound. Great song!
sjl200 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Now thats what they make guitars for!! Way ta go Buc that was fun Thanks
Buc McMaster Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 Indeed that's what they make guitars for! Playing the 45 is a hoot! And yes, the phone ringing next to the mic at the very end was splendid timing - LOL! That won't happen again in a hundred years! Just before the band disbanded we were recording some and this one was partially finished. Mr Grady Gaines (Little Richard's sax player) is a quasi-friend I see once in a blue moon and he did a blazing sax track on this one......I think I've got a rough mix somewhere on disc. We never did really finish it though. Thanks for the love, people! While on occasion I'll get submerged in things like guitar weights, most of the time I'm all about playing the damn thing as best I can and trying to crank out a new tune now and then. It is great relief from the wear and tear of the work-a-day world we live in! Let's rock!
BigKahune Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 . That song's a hoot! Great little rocker. . .
Buc McMaster Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 May I request you take into consideration doing "Goodbye" by Steve Earle ? Woo boy. I'll take a look at the tune this evening.....no promises! As I've mentioned before, I'm not much of a guitarist and I find it difficult to do much with other folks stuff unless it's stupid simple. That, in fact, was the impetus for beginning to write for myself: I couldn't play what others had done.....true story. So okay, I'll give a listen and see......... Thanks for the confidence!
MR GIBS Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Words are useless!!! That's my friend Buc McMaster!

jdd707 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Good Stuff. And the new J45-TV has a great sound! Thanks for posting and keep 'um coming.
BluesKing777 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Great stuff, Buc! Vid has captured the woody, light guitar you tell us it is. And don't worry about doing Steve Earle - keep doing Buc McMaster BluesKing777.
larryp58 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Buc, you never cease to amaze me! Good job! That 45 really suits ya! Nice job on the da foot-stompin' too!
