jimmiJAMM
How do we feel about these silky inner flappy case curtain things? Personally, I snip 'em right off.
ksdaddy
I like the satiny ones. The fleecy ones, meh. I leave them in place. It's a nice touch. I wouldn't insist on it BEING there, but since it is....
kidblast
I only have two with em, I agree with ksdaddy, a bit of a "classy" touch . so I leave them be. I don't mind not having them either. that's a sweet looking 135.. I still have mine back from the turn of the last century *Gibson Classic buckers tho, not p90s. merciful-evans
I only have one case with a shroud & I was glad to get it. I mostly use a piece of cloth to place over the strings in other cases.

Hype
Why even make that choice. Buy a new case. Done.

Eracer_Team
"shroud" cases are far and few between.. cases without are a "dime a dozen" don't like it.. park it in storage/sell it and buy yourself one that doesn't have one. people search for shroud cases. gearbasher
I had 4 or 5 Gibsons that came with the shroud. One of them was attached with Velrco and was removable.
Sgt. Pepper
We take on and solve the really important guitar issues here. That is my favorite thing about this forum.
Twang Gang
I had a couple Gibson that came with those cases. I thought of the "shroud" as a little more insulation for those really cold nights to help prevent finish damage.
merciful-evans
The lids of some very old cases show crud in the string impressions. It will either encourage you to clean your strings or use a shroud.
