Thundergod Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Electric for me... something tells me most of the guys will go for acoustic tho.
heymisterk Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I think I prefer acoustic because I'm better at it. Once I learned the how to Travis pick, it opened a whole new world for me. Still, can't imagine life without my SG...
Wild_Rose Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I think I prefer acoustic because I'm better at it. me too. I just picked up an electric last September but I'm eager to know more!
Duende Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 250 odd years of music to play. The whole Guitar is like a mini orchestra, you don't need an amp, you don't need other musicans...No contest. Classical Guitar for me!:- Matt
TinFish Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I chose Piano. Guitar is my first instrument, but i like being able to play rhythm and lead at the same time and maybe do a little singing. It is hard to put it all together, but once you can it is like playing two guitars at once!
djroge1 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I went with electric with the idea that I would play an ES-335
ninety1vee Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 electric, no contest i cant make an acoustic scream...
Swmcv2007 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I voted electric because I like the sound of an electric guitar. It's pleasing to my ear. In terms of electric and acoustic they work for different things. They each have their place. It all depends on how you want to express yourself.
Thundergod Posted April 19, 2009 Author Posted April 19, 2009 Ha ha ha' date='I can do both![/size'] Show-off! :- That guitar looks like a fake, and the amp too, send them to me ASAP so I can dispose of them:-"
FirstMeasure Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Electric, I couldn't play in a Bar Band if I only had an Acoustic.
surfpup Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Both - and not a hollow body electric either - solid body electrics and flat top acoustics. I won't choose. You can't make me. As much as I love a cranked tube amp, I also love sitting around with friends playing some old tunes on the acoustic and singing with no mics. Good times...
Notes_Norton Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 The one on the right (it's Electric AND Acoustic). I've owned it for almost 30 years and it's the best, most versatile guitar I've ever had. Notes
heymisterk Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Neither. I need to polka... Living in Cleveland, everyone polkaed; I still can.
Murph Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 If the Chi Com's crash our grid. I'll play acoustic. While I wait.................................

Classical Guitar for me!:- Matt[/quote'] I believe that great classical players are the greatest guitar players in the world, bar none. Guys live Segovia, Williams, and Bream still amaze me like no other players can.
AXE® Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Living in Cleveland' date=' everyone polkaed; I still can.[/quote'] With out pictures it never happened. AXE®
frankafru Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 acoustic- slide guitar on acoustic gives a nice atmosphere....
heymisterk Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 With out pictures it never happened. AXE® Touche. I'll work on it...
Homz Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I do love my Gibson electrics, but since I've had my acoustic since I was 12 and there she sits about 6 inches from me at this very moment, I'm going with acoustic (POS Applause w/fiber glass neck, plastic back, and aluminum fret board).
