46 and 2
My band and I had this discussion last weekend after a show. If you were left with only one album to listen to for the rest of your life what would it be? (no “greatest hits” that’s cheating!!!) Mine: Appetite For Destruction by Guns and Roses Even though ”Hired Guns and one Rose” have become a punch line of a band, I still credit “Appetite” for lighting a fire in me long ago when I was young and impressionable and that fire has never gone out. Many favorite bands and albums have come and gone since, but you never really get over your first love.
Jeff-7
I'd have to say the Purple album by Stone Temple Pilots. Or... (most people wouldn't like this) the self titled album from 30 Seconds to Mars (and no I do not care for their newer stuff). hey at least I could narrow it down to 2! milod
This one gets a little big as "one album," but I'd say any good recording of the Brandenburg Concertos would work. It ain't very guitarry, but even at my age I think Bach has more for the long run than any single album of a single "band" or "star" I can think of. m

Artie Owl
I don't think I would pick a rock album if I had to listen to it from here to forever. I think I'd pick Keith Jarrett's Koln Concert because it's a couple hours long and is eaisly re-listenable repeatedly.
