Jantha Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Along with water, I also think Beer is delicious and deserves it's own thread. Newcastle is my favorite. I prefer it out of a glass bottle. Drink!
TarHeelKid Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Hard to beat a frosty cold Yuengling pint!

Jeff-7 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I love a nice IPA........I'm allowed six beers a week, and only three at a time.... .... What if you beer bong six at once? Kind of like when nachos are all stuck together... just counts as one right?
damian Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 What if you beer bong six at once? Kind of like when nachos are all stuck together... just counts as one right? I sometimes hide away some so I have more than three at a time.....Gotta do it this way since I don't leave home !!!!!
Shnate McDuanus Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 My favorite topic! My favorites are Carlsberg, Grolsch, Guinness and Landshark. For cheap beers, which is all I can really afford if I actually want to feel anything, my choices are usually National Bohemian or PBR. I also like Rolling Rock when I have the money. Beer beer beer beer beer. I love beer.
Riffster Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 My beer taste is all over the place, I love it and I love variety. My dad worked in the HR department of a large brewery for 30 years, I always had free beer growing up.
Windmills Optional Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 I used to believe there was no such thing as a bad beer, though I've been set straight on a couple of occasions over the years. Still, for the most part. . . This is a story from a couple of weeks ago that warmed this beer lover's heart, and I hope it will yours as well. My link
Silenced Fred Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Not a huge fan of beer, more into hard liquor. If I drink beer, PBR isn't bad for super cheap stuff, but I've had some sweet microbrews here in Colorado
Jantha Posted November 2, 2011 Author Posted November 2, 2011 I used to believe there was no such thing as a bad beer, though I've been set straight on a couple of occasions over the years. Still, for the most part. . . This is a story from a couple of weeks ago that warmed this beer lover's heart, and I hope it will yours as well. My link I've been set straight on that too.. mostly by home brews. While some home brews can be very good, there's the potential there to make some pretty nasty sh*t.
grampa Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 My tastes vary. But here in California we have a plethora of small breweries making just about every kind of beer and I prefer to be local as possible, mostly for the freshness. Beer doesn't "age" well. Straight from the t*t is better than canned or bottled.
wootpow Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 You just can't beat a nice cold one once in a while.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8i5k4I1AOEI
FirstMeasure Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I've been liking Stella lately, I've been affording Coors Light but I have a Gig coming up that includes a Bar Tab so....Stella it is!!
This_Dying_Soul Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 my taste in beer is very broad. I will stop short of saying there is no such thing as a bad beer because I've had some that are just dreadfull. I tend to favor darker varieties like Guinness, Holsten's stout, etc. For domestic stuff there are a few microbreweries around that make lots of stuff that appeals to me. There are also mainstream brews that I like, such as Moosehead or Molson Canadian. Lots of friends have tried to get me drinking Budwieser, but I find it's like drinking water... I'm refering to taste here, although it is typical that US beer is typically weak compared to most Canadian beer (with the exception of a few, mainly microbrewed brands). Home brews are hit and miss; but in my experience the mark of a good home brew is that you can't tell the difference between it and a comparable mass produced brand...except if done right it's got more kick. lol
Bender 4 Life Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Guinness or Boddingtons are my "soft" spirits..... for something stronger, I like apple pie moonshine, no better taste on the planet!
Versatile Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Homebrew is too strong Nice.................. V
vourot Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Warsteiner Dunkel is the one I seem to like right now. It's a nice easy going dark beer. Try it ! I like to make cocktails as well, Old Fashioned ( made with rye )is the drink of choice right now.
Guest rogerb Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Best beer I ever drunk was in Germany. Alcohol content is about the same as wine. Woowoo!
grampa Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Best beer I ever drunk was in Germany. Alcohol content is about the same as wine. Woowoo! You say that like it's a good thing. Unless of course drinking yourself into a drunken stupor is the goal.
Californiaman Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I'm a big fan of Firestone Walker Beers. Tonight I'm having
Shnate McDuanus Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Honestly, I really, really love Good ol' Boh. It's cheap, it's smooth, it goes down well and five or so will get me nicely buzzed. Five more will put me on my arse. Got me a case of it in my dorm fridge. Just gonna sip a few after dinner and then go jam with my buddy.
Bender 4 Life Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Homebrew is too strong Nice.................. V not if the temp. and time are monitored and controlled in the vats........another reason is excess sugar or "late sugaring" to revive a flat(green)batch "green" brew will nearly plant the drinker. I used to quite often make malt homebrew, as well as apple jack and raisin jack....using my Nannys(Grandmothers')recipes. I still occasionally make muscadine wine & mixed fruit wine, and if pressed could run a mash-barn & d-still.....if need be.(also Nannys recipes) Of all her Grandkids, my Nanny only gave ME her recipes for raising a family(including my Mom) during a depression.
bonzoboy Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 My favourite beer is Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale brewed in Halifax,Nova Scotia another favourite is India Pale Ale brewed by Molson's in St. John's,Newfoundland. Both these beers have just the right yeast/hops balance and a very pleasant after taste.
This_Dying_Soul Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 for Microbreweries in the New Brunsick area I like Pumphouse brewed here in my home town and Picaroons (from Fredericton). Both have a selection of stuff they make year round as well as some seasonal stuff.
