Double Albums

Sgt. Pepper

Recommended Posts

I posted about Exile On Main St. Now how about double albums that are not 50% filler. Do live ones if you need to, but my inital though was studio albums, But as we all know we are all guilty of thread hijacking. If you know of a triple album, well post that too.

I love The Beatles aka The White Album. I'll just do one to give others a shot.

Physical Graffiti - great variety of styles and generally awesome all round.

Yep, not only a great double, its my favorite Zep album, and I believe the first Zep album I ever bought with my own money.

yea the first ones popping to my head Almann Bros Live at the Fillmore East, Deep Purple Made In Japan, and Frampton Live.

I mean who (our age) didn't have those running like all the time.

If you didn't own those, all your friends pointed and laughed at you.

Sheik Yerbouti and You Are What You Is  by Frank Zappa have always been favorites of mine.

I love them too. You Are What You Is was probably the the second Zappa I got after (').

Layla is the one song I rarely listen to, and I only care about the back end of it.

Yup.

It's god-awful, IMHO.

On topic: Can't fault "Live after death". I mean, I've heard the songs too many times, but before I wore it out...

Frank Zappa - You Are What You Is, Freak Out, Roxy and Elsewhere

George Harrison - All Things Must Pass (probably 1 album could be culled)

Leon Russell - Leon Live (same as above)

Blue Oyster Cult - On Your Feet Or On Your Knees
