Silenced Fred
Just for fun, hypothetical question: You win the Guitar Center (I know, I know, but they hold it. Bear with me) Shopping spree for 25 grand. What would you buy? For me: Les Paul, R8 ES-335 Fender Custom Shop Strat Fender Custom Shop Tele Taylor Acoustic (undecided on model) Mesa Express 5:25 Fender 57 Champ Custom Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue Vox Night Train Vox AC30 About 1000 dollars worth of cables/straps/picks/accessories A ton of tubes (about 2000 worth) Lifetime of strings That should be right around 2200-2300, rest would go toward a drumset to have around. I wanna learn really bad
Micsan28
I would get the Gibson Les Paul Standard in Peacock Blue.. A cherry SG... Pick up some classical guitars. And spend the rest on recording gear.

This thing is awesome. I'd buy one or two choice Les Pauls A pehlam blue 339 A nice Gretsch A nice Martin A nice Strat Fender Jaguar A Matchless combo A nice big Fender tube amp Some stompboxes If I had money left over I'd probly get a Gretsch drumset Maybe some recording equipment. I think I went over

RichCI
Same here' date=' but he said Guitar Center, [crying'] Goddamn details... Well, they must at least have booth babes at trade shows. Booth babes are sort of the same thingas strippers but without the brass pole. Do they give lap dances?

Twiz
I'd get one of those new silverburst SG standards (like in the ad GC mailed out. not the Robot), and an Electro-Harmonix POG. I'd probably grab a couple SKB hard cases too (1 LP & 1 SG). I think I'd spend what was left over on a new car or something.

saturn
I'd probably look for a nice Warren Haynes signature R8. Some type of PRS, probably a Custom 22, Johnny Hiland or maybe even one of those Swamp Ash ones. I'd have to look for a nice Strat too and possibly even a Ric I'd have to check out some Gibson, Taylor and Martins to see what acoustic I would get. A Mesa combo, either Lonestar, Electradyne or Express 5:50 (all 2x12s of course) Then I would still have some left for a small drum set and some PA and recording gear It's nice to dream isn't it :P
milod
I'd start with a 175, a 335 and a Lucille. Then probably a Bose PA and the "quality" stuff to go along with it. Then a Deluxe Reverb like I had a thousand years ago. A Hummingbird EA version one way or another. A gibbie 12 EA. Odd as this sounds, one of the new Epi fake Gretsches. Oh, and a cupla those gear-mover jobbies to haul this stuff. A high-end multi-effect pedal. And a high end 4-string bass and a decent mid-size cab and head. Oh - and a real pro setup on the guitars for strings I like. How dat? m
Silverbursted
Hmmm, probably would do like Jocko said, but instead of a car, I'd build a kick *** man-cave.

stevef
Probably sift through their used equipment for a mid '60s Bassman head or a Tremolux head for a 2x10 speaker cabinet I've got (or maybe a complete Tremolux). An old Gibson 12 string and a comfortable 6 string acoustic. Pohatu's choice of a Lennon Casino sounds good.. After that I'd let my son go nuts.
