Sweetwater

They made the error of calling me while I was out "shooting" a football game.

Now they talk nice when I call and have done well by me on a cupla purchases.

However, I think I'm about to the point of not wanting to get an acoustic from them - regardless what acoustic. I think it's a climate thing but I've had problems with neck/setup I've not had elsewhere, and I'm convinced it's not their fault, but something to do with climate.

Wait until you do buy something. I did and now my "sales engineer" is my new best friend. Maybe I should ask her if I can borrow $500? B)

I heard you can get special discounts if you call and ask.

Suckers!

I've been buying from SW for 6 or 7 years now. Guitars, amps, small stuff, etc. My sales guy RARELY contacts me by phone unless it's something he know's I might be interested in. Yes, I get emails now and then, but nothing more than you get from anyone else you buy from (GC, MF, Amazon, etc.)

I have had very good luck with anything I've purchased and they've been super on any problems (almost non existent).

You may just have an overagressive "sales agent" and if so, I'd complain about it and ask for someone else. After all, you DO get a customer satisfaction survey with every order shipped. This company really is committed to customer satisfaction IMHO. No affiliation other than being a satisfied customer.

And as for "special deals", well, my sales guy saved me $200 on the then street price of my Elitist Casino.

I've made one SW purchase; my Blackstar HT5RH.

The dude was helpful and quick and has NOT pestered me post-sale.

I'll definitely use them again if/when they are competitive with other sources I trust.

GREAT business...love my 'sales engineer'. Get calls from time to time....always follows up professionally after a purchase, regardles of size.

If you want something...ask them what's the best deal they can make you...they do price match, pretty agressively too. [thumbup]

They're the best. My guy never calls me except after I buy something. Three guitars and a couple of amps later and I like them. They will price match anything and they have a free 2 year warranty outside the mfr's warranty.

Just buy a few guitars from them and they'll stop calling ...... Or maybe they'll have to call to see how the guitars are. [laugh]

My rep only calls me also after I have made an online purchase.

Sometimes I have to let the phone rig if I am doing something, but I always call him back.

Have bought around 5 guitar cases from him, and the Blackstar HT5R-H head, and other small items.

Shipping is fast, and I always get a bag of candy :D

For sure the best of the Big Bs, if no more than that. I had to send a new amp head back for service in 2011. Sweetwater, did foot the entire bill going and coming. I guess today, that is worth note. Toot ended! The sales engineer is the sales person, but at least Sweetwater does do some training of their up front folks. That matters (to Alvin's memory) in such a space and time.

I just bought a LP Signature "T" through them (my Avatar). This is the first time I ever bought anything through them, I got an awesome deal, I literately named my price I was willing to pay and the sales rep. just said he could do it and so, I got another sweetie to grow old with. Ahhh, living the Gibson lifestyle is just so Groovy! They also sent me this massive catalog that's almost as thick as a phone book and a nice little baggy full of sweet treats to boot! WOW! They E-Mail me just about every other day with specials and deals but, they don't call me up and leave messages. Overall, it was a super experience and will do business with them again in the future. Between them, Wildwood Guitars and The Music Zoo, internet shopping is A-OK in my book. They all offer free setups and thoroughly inspect the guitars I have purchased and all of them have very nice return policies in case I'm not satisfied. I'm like so very done doing business with Southpaw Guitars in Houston Texas and will now salute Jimmy with my middle finger. [smile]

I like Sweetwater okay but they do keep my inbox full. They also would not price match my pedal board after buying a guitar from them which I thought was odd. They offered to "meet me in the middle" and lower the price a little so I bought my board from the other guys. Overall they were good to me through the guitar purchase.

I bought my Les Paul from Wildwood Guitars and I really like them. I have nothing bad to say about Wildwood and would buy from them again without hesitation.

I bought my Jazz from them 7, 8 years ago. Great experience, worth the wait, all that. I bought an expensive Roland keyboard around the same time. It never arrived. FedOops said they delivered it. The first manager at Sweetwater I spoke to told me "...you'll have to prove you didn't get it...". All she heard was me blinking. Second manager fixed it in about thirty seconds and I had my Fantom in two days. Overall I've been very happy with them. They only call once in a while, see if I need anything. Of course I do. I need everything!

biggest difference is SW's pack-n-ship and delivery time is superior to MF . (Sometimes I think it's a miracle stuff that I've ordered has survived UPS with the crappy packing they do. I've emailed them and *****ed too, but it never improves.)

I definitely prefer SW to MF, but if you call MF, you can almost always wiggle 15% discount out of them, Sweeetwater, the price, is the price...

I just ordered a bag from them for my new Yamaha THR 10X, so I will be getting a call sometime today.

Looking forward to the candy, er I mean the bag :D

I haven't bought anything from them in quite awhile but they still call and leave messages fairly often to "check on me and see if I need anything". Poor bastards - if they had a clue how much gear I have they would never call here again. [cursing]

However just having said that - just this afternoon I ordered a 2 button Marshall footswitch from them. I don't know if I've sparked the stalking all over again or not..maybe since I finally bought something again they'll leave me alone. [razz]

Seriously though, as long as they don't get out of hand (they used to call too often) I appreciate the fact that they give a **** enough to call and follow up. :-({|=
