duane v Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I purchased myself two Christmas gifts this holiday season, but I'll just talk about this lady...... The price it was offered at I just couldn't resist... She will be arriving tomorrow... Then Saturday she's getting an LR Braggs Anthem set-up installed
BigKahune Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 . Man o man, I do love the bling, and that beauty got plenty. Gorgeous Vine. I'd love to see the backside too. You have acquired some killer guitars in the last year or so, but this is tops for me. Congrats and enjoy. . B) .
duluthdan Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Wow ! That is some serious inlay ! Nice add.
Red 333 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Nice! I have a J-185 Vine and a J-45 Rosewood Vine. Both sound fantastic. I bet yours will, too. Much enjoyment! Red 333
Fullmental Alpinist Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Absolutely beautiful. Photos of back and sides please!
blindboygrunt Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Just need a zoot suit to go with it :) Nice piece of art that
Joe M Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 WOW! I thought Doves In Flight had a lot of bling, but this has to be the King of Bling....me likey....
Pesh Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Bloody hell... Inlay-tastic guitar there, fella. Insane-looking quilt on the sides, too. Très bien
EuroAussie Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 That is one seriously pimped out Gibson, enjoy !
fortyearspickn Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Wowsers! If the SJ200 is "King of the Flat Tops, what does this make this one? Queen ? Perfect example of how a musical instrument can look as good as it sounds.
aliasphobias Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Love it dv! I don't think I could ever get tired of looking at that. Way over the top bling, but ya gotta love it! Play it in good health the Anthem should do well.
jt Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Wowie, zowie! Congratulations. Please post some video of it when it's in your hands!
MissouriPicker Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 That is a killer guitar. I'm sure I'd get along very well with it. Absolutely cool.
drathbun Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 WOW! That quilt is to die for! More pics of the quilt please!
duane v Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 WOW! That quilt is to die for! More pics of the quilt please! Thanks mang ..... At first I thought it would be a bit much for me, but the more I starred at it, the more my wallet gravitated towards it
aerohead Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Love it! I hope you give us a peek at her backside.
bobouz Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Subtract all the bling - I like the top! Beautiful piece of spruce.
splake Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Holy Crap. I usually am not a fan of the bling. But in this case it all works. She is absoulutely stunning dude. I have seen a lot of Blondes in my day, but she rates right up there. Very Nice!!!!!!!!!!
duane v Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 She just arrived .... Heres the back .... Friggin stunning .... Cant wait to get he all set-up
capmaster Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Awesome back. What a beauty all around! Congrats on her, Duane, she's an exceptional piece of art. I'm curious how the flat-sawn maple timbers contribute to tone. I never held a quilted flattop guitar in my hands. My guess would be the quilted wood structure gives her a very even response across the whole range.
aerohead Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Good Lawd! The back is one of the best quilts I have ever seen! Nice score!

I'm actually impressed how dark and subtle it sounds considering all the maple....Usually with this much maple it can be bright
