Don’t know yet where this person got it yet. they been taking a lot of precautions with spring breakers and tourist season starting. Closed schools and cancelled some events so far. Don’t know if they gonna cancel the 2 Bike weeks or the country music fest yet. I guess that depends on how long this sh!t lasts. I did go with Deb to a few places, The streets are empty of cars compared to what it was. Yeah, the TP is all wiped out here too. I told Deb if we do run out we can do what the Romans did way back in Christ's day. use a sponge on a stick LOL. Or get creative and go to the hard ware store and put a T fitting on the water line to the stool, put a small hose and a sprayer on the end and have your own Bidet. Anyway...I looked up Gibson ES 390's today, Thinking about selling 4 or 5 of mine and getting one. I want to downsize to 4 guitars. That would give me 2 Gibsons, a Casino and buy a nice acoustic. Black Dog Posted March 17, 2020 Share Posted March 17, 2020 I put new pots in my 339 and fixed the nut. I've been putting this off because I really was a bit apprehensive about it. The pots had a really steep taper. So I got a set of Gibson historic pots which have a really nice taper. I didn't replace the whole harness, I just un-soldered each pot one at a time and replaced them. Way faster than redoing the whole thing from scratch. But man, getting all that stuff out and back in is a bit of a pain. I used surgical tubing. Turned out well. Also, the low E and A string nut slots were cut really low so I did the super glue technique. This guitar has a bone nut so I bought a blank and ground some up with a file, used that to fill the slots then just a drop of GluBoost superglue, refiled and done. First time I ever tried that. P90's sound incredible, specially on a Jr style guitar with a wraparound bridge that seems to intensify the way a P90 resonates and not mention that LP DC's just seem to be more fun to play.. In an Aldi this week a shopper filled her trolley with 80 tins of tinned tomatoes; they took 76 tins back from her at the checkout, apparently she got really angry. FFS - 80 tins of tomatoes? Idiotic. If that's her diet no wonder she needs all the toilet paper. I'm hoping the greedos will have bought so much by the end of next week that they'll stay home while the rest of us can buy what we need. And it's still raining in the UK tonight.
