RichCI 6
It was a lame comparison 50 years ago. Aside from both band originating from England, they sound nothing alike. Answer: Both
jaxson50 645
I voted for the Fab Four, but if you listed ten bands and asked for the top five, the Stones would be on my top five list.

Jantha 70
Gotta go with The Beatles on this one. In fact, I'd pretty much have to go with The Beatles on any comparison. Beatles > *

Thin_Lizzy 1
Listened to the Beatles for 2 years solidly when I was a teen, but haven't listened to the much in the last 20 years. However, I'm still listening to the Stones. They're more roll n' roll man .
Rocky4 180
Gotta go with the Stones. The Mick Taylor era was some of the best rock ever produced.
Izzy 215
Depending on the mood. If I want to look at most influential and meaningful, Beatles is the obvious choice, but if I want to let my hair down and mindlessly rock out STONES! This is like the deep guy vs the hot guy. You marry deep, you straddle hot.

cabba2203 69
The Beatles. I like a few songs of the Stones but overall, they never moved me like the Beatles did.
Zonkers 9
The Beatles, not even a question for me. They turned me onto what music could really be, much more than a 2:45 pop song. I do love The Stones tho, Beggar's Banquet, Exile on Main Street and Sticky Fingers are some of the best albums ever, imo.
Twiz 141
For me personally it's like this: The Beatles 51% The Rolling Stones 49%
