Who are you true to?

Me I'm kinda funny when it comes to my gear. When I find something that works for me, I stick with them. My guitars are Gibson Family, My amp's and PA's are Peavey. My electronic gear (from Keyboards to recording Equip.) are KORG. My mic's and Wireless systems are Shure. Who do you stand by.

Hmm, I really don't know. I've owned stuff all across the board. Heck, I've even changed picks more times than I can count. I guess for me "variety is the spice of life."

EDIT: OK, all of my mics have been Shure, but that's about it.

No brand loyalties for me.

I don't own enough gear to have developed brand loyalties.

I hear ya....

We own all Ford Vehicles

We own mostly Gibson guitars

We own USA made Rawlings or Nokona baseball gloves

And only Snap-on Tools

No true Brand Loyalty for me, my sound come first.

I generally prefer Gibson and Fender guitars, something about getting it right the first time.

When it comes to pedals I check out Dunlop (MXR) first. But if Ibanez or Boss or one of the other companies put out a good pedal I'd get that.

Open minded in general and enjoy using different brands

Gibson, Fender, Gordon Smith, Peerless guitars

Fender, Laney, Roland amps

Shure mics, Samson wireless

Nescafe

BP or Shell

Morrisons... :-({|= ..

Fiddling at the Pearly Gates

I'm not "true" to any company. It's just silly to feel an obligation to buy one brand of anything -- except Worcestershire Sauce. I prefer Lea and Perrins.

If I had to be "true" to a guitar company, it would be Martin.

The guys at Gibson could learn a lot about how to run a business by paying close attention to Martin & Co....

Fender and Gibson electrics, not sure on acoustics yet, but I do like Taylors but have yet to own one.

Amps, I like Fender and sometimes Marshall.

Accessories, it's got be Dunlop.

Lea and Perrin's is the epitome of Worcestershire sauce. I have yet to find one as good [thumbup] Freak Show knows what's up

Gibson guitars are top on my list, I like them and now that I have a historic LP I like them even more. My Explorer is the most comfortable guitar to play.

I grew up wanting a Fender Stratocaster and I am very happy with the one I have but I do not see buying other Fender guitars, I am not a Tele guy and other models appeal very little to me.

I do not mind looking at other brands as long as there is quality at a good price and I like the styling.

Amps - I just don't have a lot of experience with them, my Mesa 5:25 has everything that I need. I'd be pretty open to try other brands.

I'm simple, (or so I was told by my teachers), Fender electrics and Gibson acoustics. Amps, Fender. Picks.... I used to cut up old credit cards, but my BIL bought me a gross of Fender Heavy triangle picks year ago....I'm still using them.

Me I'm kinda funny when it comes to my gear. When I

find something that works for me, I stick with them. .......

I have way too much stuff ... but at least it's enuf

stuff, quantity-wise, to provide a clearly observable

statistical trend: EBMM and MarkBass. Yet, this

is not any result of brand loyalty. I am acqusitive,

and opportunistic, and I tend to favor used gear.

These two brands just happen to "cross my path"

most often, at good prices, from reliable sources.

But, to repeat ... I have NO LOYALTIES. EBMM

and MarkBass are not the majority of my stuff but

are the two largest minorities. My "disloyalties"

to my apparent faves FAR outnumber the faves.

-------------------------

OTOH, given their accidental predominance in my

"community of gear", if opportunism were no longer

a workable approach .... IOW if I hadda order NEW

stuff, and I could order ANY brand .... then I guess

your method of "When I find something that works

for me, I stick with them" would lead me to stick

with EBMM and MarkBass.

Actually thinking about LOYALTY .... if I have any

sort of emotionally driven brand loyalty, it would be

to the team of Ned Steinberger and Stuart Spector.

I have several examples of their stuff, but I'm in no

way actively looking for more of it !

I am true to myself & my music. The instruments are just tools. My gear is diverse but more of my electrics are Gibson than not. Solid guitars but they can be somewhat overrated. Some of the best stuff comes out when I'm not playing a Gibson & some when I am.

Definitely not of a drone mindeset, "I ammmm a loyyalllll consssuuuuumerrrrrrrrrrr..."
