krock
I told my friends over msn and hardly any of them knew who he was. Its such a shame his talent wasnt fully appreciated by everyone. He was a great musician and I saw him live in Portsmouth. RIP Gary

Chrisdude
Yup It's true. One of my greatest hero's is gone. I just got off the phone to Al, he is mailing Phil's mom who is a wonderful woman. By the way, a little fact for you guys. Phil was actually born in West Bromwich just around the corner from where Al has lived for the last 30 years. A statue is aparently planned. This is going to be huge and very sad news tomorrow.

duane v
Wow my second comment was removed. Why? Just keep the focus on Mr. Moore, and not trying to make certain members feel guilty, which is really not the point of this thread
Thundergod
OMG awful news. He was one of my favorite players and one of the best players ever IMO. I'm sure Les himself was waiting for him at heaven's gates. RIP Gary, thanks for somemof the best songs and the greatest guitar leads.

Thin_Lizzy
What a shock! Only 58. I saw him live at Brixton Acadamy back in 2002. Black Rose and Lizzy Live at Sydney Harbour were a high point IMO, as was Wild Frontier. RIP Gary.

He now belongs to the ages...if there is a Rock & Roll heaven he has good company...
