When this question has been asked previously there has been a lot of interest in a double cut LP with P90's, I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned much yet so I'll add my vote for one in TV yellow please, with some nice grain visible.

I'd like to see a couple of things:

1st: An Epi version of the Johnny A Custom

2nd: A Head version of the BC30 but with 50W/25W/5W power options and an FX loop.

None of the poll options and I'll tell you why.

It's nice that Epiphone gives folks the option to obtain the general essence (for a lack of a better word) of Gibson's familiar electric offerings without the price but I'd rather they focus more on their past and break away from their identity as "that company that makes Gibson copies". I think it's depressing that there still hasn't been a proper Coronet reissue, yet there have been half a dozen different variants of the Les Paul Junior with the Epiphone name.

I'd like to see a Coronet with the following:

Gloss finish (Cherry, White, Black and maybe an "Epiphone Custom Shop"-badged variant with the Silver Fox finish?)

Intonated wraparound stopbar

Black or chrome-covered P-90

Batwing headstock

Kluson-style tuners with white buttons

No worn finishes, no killswitches, no BS. I can't be the only person who feels this way...

I VERY much like the looks of that guitar. The horns are PERFECT.

hi!

have you played one of those? i fell in love with the SDC just to realize that the CoAxe pickups are more than disappointing, and so is the sutain and sound ... just my impression. a case of "beautiful but dumb" :)

I would not want Epi to make any of them in the poll. I would prefer that Epi make original guitars not copies of the parent companies guitar. B)

I'd like to see that too, but until Gibson buys another company that they can use to market budget versions of their more expensive guitars, it'll never happen.

Epi used to make a whole line of very high quality original and copy guitars (Elite and Elitist series), but the only one that sold enough to make it worthwhile for them to continue has been the Casino, probably due only to the connection to the Beatles.

Let's face it, a company has to be profitable to stay in business even in a robust economy, and this is a down economy with dozens (hundreds?) of competitors nipping at Gibson's heels, challenging them on price, quality, distribution, brand recognition, and every other competitive angle you can think of.

Good for them that they can at least keep the Epi brand alive after buying it for $20k in 1957. Without Gibson, Epiphone would be a footnote in the history of guitar manufacturing.

I feel in love with the Firebird VII the first time I saw Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones play one on the Ed Sullivan Show(yes I'm that old lol)since I'll never have the $30,000 to buy an original I'd love to see Epiphone reintroduce it in Sunburst and Cardinal Red of course a Pelham Blue one would be lovely too.

I'm not that great a fan of signature guitars, but I think the biggest problem with Epiphone producing signature guitars is the signature artists themselves, some don't want their name on a budget line of guitars, others might want more money than Epiphone is willing and/or able to pay. I'm sure Epi would love to have signature models hanging out their wazoo, but dealing with the artists could be more of the problem than actually producing a sig guitar.
