Years ago I played in a band where EVERYNIGHT, when the bass player first fired up his rig, he would play the bass line to Barney Miller and then "Money". Actually got to be kind of a joke amongst the rest of the band, and definitely annoying, although probably no worse than us guitar players wanging an "E" chord at start-up.
