EVOL!
Never. I don't even read on the can. It's get in, take care of business, and get the heck out before death sets in. I will, however, play in front of the bathroom mirror or in the shower stall when it is dry. Yes, those tiles make for great acoustics.

Ryan H
No, but I will occasionally stick a mic in the bathroom if I'm looking for some natural reverb for a recording. -Ryan
Aster1
I'm with Evol! Too many hard surfaces and "bump" sites to damage the git too!! Aster

StRanger7032
Ha! My bathroom is so narrow, I'd have to hold my guitar like Chuck Berry doing the "duck walk"!

saturn
I had a guitar class back in high school, and the music room had a big, tiled bathroom. We all used to take those old nylon stringed school guitars in there and get the greatest natural reverb I've ever heard. But no, I don't play guitar on the toilet. stein
I have known some that do...not at all weird to me. I happen to not only because of the inconvenience of where to put the guitar when I am done...and the fact that a shower afterwards is my "regular" schedule. IanHenry
I saw a documentary that claimed Jimi Hendrix used to play his guitar on the loo. Maybe it's just as well that he used to burn them, I certainly wouldn't want one after he'd finished with it! Ian
pippy
Admit it, Bathrooms have great acoustics. No Potty humor. Discussion of Bach's solo works on his 'instrument of choice' is out of bounds, then? The acoustic properties of a loo work well mainly for a solo instrument. After that it would get too confusing. I wouldn't invite the Royal Philharmonic around to my place to perform, for instance. P.
btoth76
Interesting topic for sure... I never do, however, now I am curious. I'll give it a try. Hehe. I could add a bass line to my melodies. No need for an octave pedal either. Cheers... Bence
Versatile
It has been scientifically proven that acoustics in the 'khazi' are the best... The smaller the better for 'hard wall' reverb... Paul McCartney has freely admitted to regularly availing himself of the 'facility' I'd wait for 10mins if I were you... V

IanHenry
You could have a Marshall stack in your loo. I don't have any electric sockets in mine, so I'd need to leave the door open and use an extension. Just think, it could be a shared experience for the whole family! quapman
I remember trying this when we first heard of it back in my mid 20s. But somebody farted and the novelty wore off quickly.
