Pitch pipe in the EA nylon string, tuner in the baby's case. Straps in the solidbody and baby's case. m
AXE®
I keep a strap in the pocket of each of my guitar cases' date=' nothing else. Everything else goes in the gig bag. I pick up whichever guitar I want, grab the the gig bag (briefcase size), and I always have everything I need. Now if the question was "what's in your gig bag?". That would be a long list.[/quote'] This. Not a bag but a box. On wheels.
EVOL!
I took the 14 day Activia challenge btw. How do you feel? You know Activia is just plain old yogurt with a boat load of sugar. Better off eating plain Greek yogurt with some granola and the occasional rye bread or cracker. Rye is a pre-biotic. Apparently I need to keep more of my pics in the case instead of the little watch pocket on my Levi's - My wife was complaining that five pair of jeans she was washing all had GUITAR pics in that small pocket! I always keep a spare pick in the watch pocket of my Levi's too. Dress pants kill me because there is no place to put that pick and the last thing I want is to have it mucking around with dirty coins. My guitar case? - set of strings - extra picks - old synthetic ivory nut (need to throw this out. does not hold a candle to nut) - two small screw drivers: one for the TRC and one to adjust saddles on the bridge - truss rod wrench - dunlop strap loks - a pen - guitar repair recipes My strap sits coiled in the that space up with the headstock. RichCI
A couple of sets of strings, picks and the strap that goes which goes with that particular guitar. I keep all the rest of the crap (tubes, a couple 9v batteries and 1 Spot, wire cutters, string winder, screwdrivers, cleaning cloths, patch cables and pedals) in an Anvil case except long cables which won't fit. jnastynebr
The usual:Strap' date=' set of strings, string winder, picks, any allen wrenches needed, #2 Phillips screwdriver and 9 volt batts if it's a guitar with active pups. Anything beyond that is in my gig bag that has more of the above plus additional tools/supplies for guitar and amp repair. As well as the holy Gorilla brand duct tape. [/quote'] Never go to a gig without a roll of duct tape.

Dub-T-123
I usually just have a strap, capo, tuner, slide, maybe some strings, maybe some pics. I keep my cables and pedals and power adapters in a really old camera case with a strap. It's pretty small and it fits all my stuff (except for the Bigg Muff) really nicely. To be honest I'm not really that organized like some of you guys. I just kinda throw whatever crap I need in there.

TommyK
Electronic tuner, assortment of picks, capo, mini-amp, suction cup pick-up for the tuner and mini-amp, adapter for mini-amp, ear phone for mini-amp, nail file, nail clipper and desiccant bag. I make use of those little eye glass cases, no longer than 4". They are made for fold-up reader glasses. They sell in dollar stores for a dollar. I use them to organize my box. It all fits. pippy
...oh and one of those Silica Gel Packs for when I get the munchies. Sure they SAY to never eat them, but I just can't help myself. They look so darn tasty... I Laughed Out Loud! In my case pocket I just have a couple of packs of strings and a lint-free cloth. One case will have my small box of silver coins that I use for picks and a bottle of lemon-oil. Each guitar has it's own specific strap and these are folded over the headstock in the case-curve. All the rest (cables and 'stuff') is transported inside the base of the combo cabinet.. As I don't own any pedals; slides; capos and so on there's not very much to carry.
