Californication, and trying to put something decent in the solo. Last night was better than we've been doing it, so it's getting there. I'd need a wheelbarrow full of drugs to play as bad as the recorded solo.

Californication...

By a really weird coincidence (rude-ish titles; bear with me) I've been listening to some '90s USA-Power-Pop-Rock and have been re-learning some of the fun bits of 'Decadence Dance' this PM. As it happened I listened to the whole of 'Pornografitti' twice through today whilst working and after 'Down-Tools' had a brief Personal reacquaintance with the thing. Good Stuff!

I love Nuno Bettencourt's 'sentence construction'. Absolutely love it. One of the Very Best and unquestionably a Top Drawer chap.
IMO, of course.

I have been working on Juice Newton's Queen of Hearts. Playing the Studio quite often lately, she has been sitting in the closet for too long, I have been devoting much of my attention to the Hummingbird Pro.

Billy Joel's "You May Be Right". One of very few of his songs with little or no piano. Not that I have anything against piano, but we just don't have one in our band.

For me, When you walk in the Room & Needles & Pins. Both by the Searchers. Also, Del Shannon stuff like Runaway & Little town Flirt. I'm really heading way back to "happy tunes" these days I guess.
